When I watched the infomerical I though just the right tool as will be doing back splaches of ceramic. But reading the reviews now would not consider purchasing as all pretty much state "Will not cut cermaic or tile"
Too bad.......

After readig the reviews on the customer service and the quality of the product, I put my credit card away and went to Harbor Freight Tools. Rockwell used to have a good reputation but items like this sour everyone from buying their "junk" as I have read from the reviews. Too bad. I had a space all pick out for my new toy.

Sad, if unsqare cuts is what you want, this is your machine. I don't know anybody that would be satisfied with this, unless they are into sloppy junk. I can not see a good use for this machine..... maybe for slicing butter, or cutting small kindling.

Good for very light hobby work, does not compare with really good quality machines. I have worked with power tools for 20 years and the facts are this. It DOES NOT cut ceramic tile no matter how it's set, Buy the cheapest wet saw it will work much better, it's not very durable, and the infomercial is pretty much an exaggeration. It does work well on light wood and light metal jobs. It is worth the money if you are buying it for hobby work (picture frames, bird houses, gun racks, etc.but you will be disappointed if you are trying to replace your expensive commercial power tools. I've done everything from remodeling to custom homes and this is my honest evaluation. God bless!

Generally disappointed. Really a hobby tool for small jobs. Missing parts - machine screw for saw - which Rockwell never provided. Blade difficult to center. Cannot cut porcelain tiles. Excessive vibration of items being cut. Should have returned it for a refund.

I have only had my bladerunner for 1 week, i Have used it every day. (Lots of projects) I Love it. I even used it to rip some 2x4's. Not sure why so many bad reviews. I got mine as a Refurb on ebay. $130 I give it 5 stars, worth all 130 dollars!!!!!

Why is still on the market like this is okay and they can still get away with it? Where is the law for protecting the consumer when you need them?

I can come closer to square with my eyes closed using a hand saw. Rockwell should be ashamed to put their name on this piece of junk. Since they continue to do so I just won't buy anything Rockwell. You should have a giant recall and then go out of business, rather than cheating people of their money.

Just got this unit for christmas and went to put it together and the unit looks like it had been purchased before as the plastic that was to be on the table had been removed as there was peices of plastic around the edges and the lever that you move to the right to instal the blade is missing the screw and will not work so now I will try to call Rockwell and see what they will do for me as I am not comfortable after reading these reviews as well. concept is great but if you have to go out and purchase all new blades to even start a project it is disapointing.

after reading 95% of the reviews, posted I do not think I will be ordering this saw. And if service is that bad - forget it.....

I too saw the infomercial - and have checked their website several times hoping the price on the infomercial would match it - never has. They still offer free shipping and the wall hanger mount - but after reading all these reviews - I'll wait for the new, improved product and keep using what I have.

I read all the reviews thought maybe I shouldn't buy it. After buying it I found that it fits my needs purfectly.

I am giving it a 5-star because there is not an option for No Rating. I am.in process of doing some projects around the house and I had planned to buy a 9” tabletop bandsaw about $119 at Harbor Freight, for the same price Lowe's sells a Skill that looks junk and Home Depot has Makita which looks better, I also needed a circle cutter normally around $30 and a wet tile cutter which HF has for $57 that does the job but not very good quality they do have some nicer ones for over $300 but I probably use it only once. This would add up to about $226 including tax then I saw the Rockwell Blade Runner which cuts tiles (somebody said Good Luck!) plus Rockwell's circle cutter and a package of 12 blades at Amazon for $223.86 I thought that's just perfect but now I am confused after reading all these reviews. In any case the idea is great and apparently engineering/manufacturing not so great.

I dont know what the rest of you guys are doing wrong. But mine works excellent. The guide if anything on would be the one weak point. I am using mine for metal working so I just cant figure out why people cant cut wood with it..

I purchased the bladerunner hoping to use it to rip some boards. I have a small shop/garage and no table saw and this looked like a good alternative. The miter gauge broke after only a few uses - it would not clamp down securely in place. The unit would not even properly rip down some cedar boards which is a soft wood. I did not think about purchasing better quality blades. I will give credit to Rockwell customer service- they took it back with no problems and even paid the return shipping.

I was saving to buy this and all the accessories for my husband for christmas this year. I just so happened to look at the reviews and there was one bad review after another and they all said the same bad things. I have read one good review out of about 30 and then I stopped looking. I just didnt want to believe this saw was junk, but 99% of the reviews are bad, I cant go against it. Thank You everybody. I'm so glad I didnt waste my money and buy this thing.

I was ready to send it back the first time i used it. I went down to the hardware store and bought new blades and it was like the differance between night and day. With the rockwell blades it took so lone to cut and also shattered alot. With the new blades it was quick and smooth.

I've read the reviews and I'm still going to try it. I'm not going to try and replace my table or miter saw. I'm going to use it as an upside down jigsaw, that's it. I'm thinking now I can use both hands to hold the wood and it won't break up the face when cutting. Normally I use the jigsaw to finish cutting 90's. I hold the wood with one hand and cut from the bottom of the board, which is a pain in the butt. I'll let you know how it works.

Great idea. Medium to poor execution in the final product. 1) Better instruction manual; difficult to match up the text with the photos. 2) Included blades are not very good; I bought Bosch T-shank blades and that helped. 3) The miter guage is a joke. As long as they were going to the trouble of making a verynice stainles steel table, and in effect "inventing" a new type of saw, why in the world would they not engineer a miter gauge that correctly fits the slot? It is such a sloppy fit that it is virtually impossible to get an accurate cut. I finally did a down and dirty fix: I used a wood chisel and small hammer and wedged open just a little the miter guage slot guides on the table. The best solution would be to make your own MG, with the miter gauge arm about 10 thousands wider. 4) Maybe it was just my machine, but in order to get the blade to come close to being 90 degrees I had to push with medium to hard force with the blade release activitated. 5) This saw doesn't cut really fast. Not really slow, but not really fast. The only way I could come close to an accurate cut was to be patient. What a shame that such an excellent idea was wasted on shoddy engineering and/or quality control. I won't say my money was wasted. It is a good saw for small, not-so-precision projects, but I probably would not buy it again.

This thing is just weird. It will not cut square. One time it cuts out square one direction. Next time it might cut out square the other direction, even when you do nothing except make another cut. About the only thing I had any success with is is to let it cut out of square, use that out of square edge against the face of the miter gauge to manipulate the angle and try again. That works....sometimes

First thing you need to do when you use the Bladerunner is buy new blades just because the blade that come with it suck also if you need to cut tile good luck you will never get the job done with this tool cuts wood ok and make sure you tighting down guard arm clamp knob very very tight if not your project will be part of your face

I had read reviews in other places wherein people bragged about how they could now get rid of their band saw and several other tools...NO WAY! This machine is just little more than a toy. I tried to rip some maple and it just would not happen. The machine dances around when under load and the clamping action is very poor. I'm sorry I wasted my money on it.

i will still hold off a bit but some reviews might be from people who dont really use power tools.. who knows . And as someone stated always look to amazon first. I bought my hitachi chop saw, 12v combo etc from there and save $400 then going to homedepot

ok, well my husband bought my son and I this tool in hopes that we could make some scout projects together, the top arm that is supposed to help hold the wood or object in place does not hold tightly, and comes loose during the process of cutting. The fence guide does not fit snugly in the slot, meaning if you are looking for a square cut, you need to put a square on it every time to ensure that it is true.Although it is a good practice teaching someone how to square up, it shouldnt have to be a every time thing. Also, loved the idea that I could make my own picture frames, and cut a circle with the saw accessories, however since the slot allows the fence to move around on the straight cuts, it does the same thing with the frame and circle cutters. I think my son has learned a few bad words from listening and watching his parents try to operate this saw. Maybe to some it was not alot of money, but to us it was. If my husband wanted us to have a knock off saw that did the same job for half the price, he would have bought it instead..He would have returned the tool, except that as others have already mentioned the customer service isn't exactly the best and we figured we would have more money invested in shipping it back than in keeping it. Rockwell needs to put their quality back in their products. we will buy from an off the wall company next time and save a bunch of money.

Ok the product is just average, you get what you pay for, but as soon as you how to work with it, it actually will do the job. Now we all know that they have terrible customer service, and that it may be a long while before you see your product. So this is how you do it, buy this Rockwell Blade Runner, and just about everything else that you see on TV, by the way, on Amazon.com and it will arrive at your door in 48 hours, with free shipping and the Blade Runner's price is $130.00 less that way. Yes that's right $179.00 rather than $309.00. Go figure!

Do not buy. It doesn't even cut products like they said they do. I called the line asking if I was doing something wrong because it was vibrating to the point you can't even cut it and they told me the people who take care of it has left for the day. How are you running a company when all the people has left for the day.

After seeing an infomercial, I tried to simply get more information about their shipping and handling charges, as they NEVER mention them during the commercial. When I called, I reached an "Arlene", who asked if I would mind that the call be recorded. I told her yes I did mind as I was not placing an order but just looking for additional information. She abruptly said that since I would not agree to the phone call being recorded that Rockwell could not do business with me. As I was in the middle of a sentence asking to speak to her supervisor, she hangs up on me. I was fuming! When someone tells you NO that he does not give you permission to record a call, that doesn't mean you can bully them into succumbing to your will. What has happened to the days where companies were GLAD that you wanted to buy their products. Rockwell Jawhorse isn't the only gig in town. There are other companies that make clamping sawhorses. This is NOT some innovative product here. Since I was still angry, I waited 10 minutes and called back. This time I got a "Lorraine" who answered the phone. I explained that I wanted to speak to a supervisor right away and I gave her a brief explanation why. She tells me that since it is the weekend, that I will have to call yet another number on Monday morning to speak with someone to hear my concerns. I asked where the supervisor was that is overseeing the phone reps as they work and she tried to give me the line that there were no supervisors working during the weekend. Now, I don't know about you, but phone centers that take orders don't just let phone reps come to work without a "boss" on duty. Again, I requested a supervisor and she refused to put me through to one. Do NOT order from this company - they do not appreciate your business. I would also be skeptical as it appears Rockwell is trying to pull a fast one by having several different price points on this product. The infomercial sells it for $88, but several of Rockwell's websites had wildly varying prices. Be warned - there is something not right about this company!

I ordered this 10 days ago and they said everything was ok - but 10 days later I tried their 'order look up' and got about 20 database errors ( i am in the IT field) so i call and after about 1/2 hour on hold - i got someone who siad my order was never processed - no one can give me a good why - - so dont expect your tool too soon - could be 30 days before I see one and today - that is not good unless you say so in advance so if i ever get one i will come back and actually rate the machine - this is just on the poor customer service and terrible inefficiencies they have. I am beginning to wonder if i want a tool from such an incompetent group as they have proven to be Jim
