30 Second Smile is an electric toothbrush that claims to clean all all surfaces, front, back and biting surfaces all at the same time in just 30 seconds and also makes a claim to reverse gingivitis in 2 Weeks.

Purchased this product, worked great for a couple of weeks, customer service replaced it, worked again for a couple of weeks, maybe a little longer but that was it. Now I have several supplies of extra brushes for a toothbrush that doesn't work. UGH!!!!!

The toothbrush brushes very well. However, after only a few months I was beginning to replace the chargeable batteries every day. Every day. It is very frustrating. The cost of shipping is way way overpriced. To mail the "free" replacement brush heads -- $9.90. I would recommend staying away from this product. In addition, the customer service is horrible!

I have not tried this product but here's a little bit of advice for anyone that is considering purchasing an "as seen on TV" item. 99% of products sold on informercials are either (a) very poor value for the money or (b) a complete scam. The small minority of products that are decent, the George Foreman Grill, for example, are eventually purchased and sold by reputable mainstream stores.

While the brush does a good job oour teeth, the units already have had failure of the battery compartment cover, which the company will "replace" by sending you a new unit for $14.95...to replace a $1.00 part that was poorly designed in the first place. Avoid this scam and buy something from a real company.

Why is the BBB still letting the Postal Scam continue.. Ordered 2 units for my kids as that is who is seemed to be geared toward on the infomercial .. Charger is not a base its a dollar store cube with batteries in it.. Drains batteries quickly and is now rusted out and broken within 3 mths and numerouse attempts to work through problems.. Customer service in India are a bunch of card reading robots.. Final outcome was to replace full product but I would need to pay S&H.. Sorry dont want another piece of useless crap that I would have to mortage the house to have shipped.. DO NOT BUY

I just got off the phone with 30 second smile's INDIA customer support. First of all, I've had the unit for about a year. LOVE the concept HATE the physical machine. This thing is so cheaply made and goes through batteries like no tomorrow. My biggest issue is that it doesn't turn on when you switch the stupid dial. And the batter cap keeps falling off. The idea of this toothbrush is brilliant and even my hygienist stated how good my teeth and gums look. BUT the quality of the contraption is crap. We are in the 21 century and electric tooth brushes have been around for 30 years. Yet this thing a) takes batteries and not rechargeable??? (come one!), and the way you put the batteries in is sealed by a little gasket? OH!!! AND GET THIS!!! When talking to the India customer support, they said that this unit MUST BE STORED IN A DRY ENVIRONMENT AND NOT TO STORE IT IN YOUR BATHROOM!!! They suggested putting it in a jar to keep humidity out of the unit. WHAAAAAAATTTT????? Does the inventor not see an issue with this??? Come one guy...surely you could have built a unit that will sealed so well that storing this in the medicine cabinet would not be an issue. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRUSH TO ANYONE!!!! Cheaply made, customer support doesn't, on/off switch sucks big time, you gro through batteries like crazy, and you have to store the unit in a completely dry area. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I hope this helps at least one person save the frustration. I am passing the word on every blog and website that sells this piece of crap. If you have a complaint, do the same. Google 30 second smile and get the word out. Perhaps then the designer of this crap will make the correct modifications. Thanks

Do yourself a fafor and stay the hell away from this cheap, worthless product. It cleans your teeth poorly, the batteries drain very quickly, and now they have sent me to collections months after I paid for it without even contacting me first. Obviously I paid for the piece of crap I wound up tossing where it belongs in the garbage, or I would never have received it. That will teach me to buy some gimmic piece of crap.

I wouldn't even give it a one star, but I seem to have no choice here. This product is a scam. I purchased it for $180.00, tried it and got no satisfying result. They said it is money back guaranty, but the only money I got back was $60 dollars which was less than the amount to be refunded for the brush. Furthermore, they charged me $15 dollars per item (the brush and the whitening Kit – a total of $30.00 in shipping), but yet I’ve received only one box of shipment. They charged me an extra $15 dollars for shipping an item that they included in the same box. This is really a highway robbery.

The product is cheep and doesn't work well. The company charged for delivery when they were not supposed to. The replacement brushes are expensive. The customer service is terrible. I just called their customer service line and spoke with Pankaj. He practically argued with me to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was Ronnie Conner who proceeded to tell me that he was an employee of 30 second smile in their home office in India- right. Needless to say I cancelled any future shipments of replacement heads. Please save you money and reconsider purchasing this product.

Could have used this shipping money and what else they want to charge to buy top of the line oral B. HAVE to learn to avoid infomercials on nights I can't sleep. Almost afraid to start the return process after reading other reviews, but don't want to put another $90 into product that is not adequate. I bought this thing and have not used it yet BUT when I opened the package I found I was charged twice for the shipping and handling!! You are not allowed to talk to a human being when you are placing the order so you can not question anything. My invoice by the time I got it was well over 100.00! I called the 1-800 number only to be greeted by "Cindy" a young lady with a deep Indian accent who "regretted to inform me that I could not speak to a manager and instead redirected me to the infomercial for more information .... really?? Seriously?? I told her I didn't mind waiting for the manager and was told she could not place me on hold. I again demanded to speak to a manager, she went away and came back and said the manager would not refund the double shipping and handling and hung up on me!! So order it without talking to a human and expect NO help from anyone after the purchase. I still don't even know if it works or not ... by the way, it is a lot cheaper looking in person than what it shows on tv ... I guess I should have expected!!

They feel supersmooth and I really can't find any to complain about. I was only charged for what I expected to be charged for (just say NO to everything else) which was the brush itself and S&H (yes it's overpriced). I can't review the product because I have not used it - - and WON'T. When I opened the package, the shipping slip revealed charges on additional items that I did not order. It was supposed to include free shipping but I was charged. I immediately called the company and asked them to take the shipping charges off and I wanted a shipping label to return the items I did not order. They finally took off the smallest shipping charge but after 5 phone calls with threats to the Attorney General's Office of California - the Fraud Division - and threats of contacting my own attorney, they still have not sent me the return shipping label or credited my account. I am contacting VISA, where I have consumer protection and with their help send the whole shipment back to the company. Maybe I have finally learned my lesson about ordering from infomercials!

Then she just says the difference is the shipping charges from India! No disclosure. Now to the product, worst ever. It does not properly clean your teeth and the batteries die continually which is why they want to sell the rechargeable, but they dont work either.' Worst customer service. I smoke and drink alot of coffee, so my teeth are stained quite often, and drive alot, so my brushing and dental hygene is not the greatest. Being able to catch all areas of my teeth, instead of scrubbing with a regular toothbrush, works for me. Sure its not the greatest thing since sliced bread, and I do have to use my spinbrush for heavier stains, my teeth all get hit and it does my all my teeth feel clean, which is more than I can say after scrubbing with one brush. Overpriced...Yes Works ...Yes Had to buy batteries.....YES Overpriced shipping charges.....Yes HAPPY WITH RESULTS YES

Are these products ever what they claim they are? The answer is no! They will always suck you in and sell you things you do not want and try to make you think you ordered them, and then continue to charge you as soon as they get your credit card number. If the products were as good as they claimed, they would be sold in retail stores and would sell themselves! Do yourself a favor and just don't buy products from infomercials, if they have any merit, the product will be sold in stores.

I actually like the brush. I think it does a good job. It does look cheaply built and I am concerned on how long it will last. I thought I was buying 2 brushes for 120 dollars plus 15 dollars shipping. They charged me 30 dollars for each brushes battery charger. No mention of that on the infomercial. All this stuff could have fit in one box. They shipped the brushes in separate boxes and charged me 15 dollars for each one. The free whittning kits were 15 dollars for shipping for each one even though they were in the same box as the brushes. They charged 70 dollars for shipping and handling. I know it only cost them less then 10 dollars for shipping. It took more then 2 weeks for package to arrive. I thought I was spending 135 dollars and was charged 250. To top that off now my credit card has been charged 25 dollars by some coupon company that claims I gave the ok to join there membership. Please wait to buy this. Eventually it will be in stores.

I worked for years selling products from infomercials and made 100k a year doing it. They have very strict rules to follow since call centers are monitored closely by the FCC. The "wrap-up" or the end if the call disclosing what your card was and will b charged and what u have accepted and all your answers are recorded by law.....so if you have a beef about the call center or what u were charged take it to them...recordings don't lie. As far as the brush goes, I think it's great. Tk solve the battery not lasting I solved that with my own home battery charger...for $20 I got 2sets of rechargeable batteries and the charger.

My dad asked for this product as a birthday gift. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and did not read the small print carefully. First the shipping & handling is over $20. After the 2nd round of charges to my account,I called and clearly told them I did not want any additional merchandise. Two months later they sent additional merchandise and charged my account. When I called to dispute the additional charge, they refused to make an adjustment and told me that they had already sent the merchandise and would not accept it if it was returned. Told me that they had no record of my previous call. Clearly this is not an honest or ethical business. Not carefully reading the fine print and paying an exhorbitant shipping charge is my responsibility but with regards to the additional merchandise that I didn't want, it's all them. I'm sorry I ordered this product and that they now have my credit card information. I hope that they don't continue to make unauthorized charges- my guess is that since the charge is only about $11, their banking on the fact that most people won't want to take their time to dispute it. Not good business. I don't recommend getting involved with them.

They knew very little, so I immediately told them to cancel the order, but they said I couldn't because it had shipped already. I asked when I would receive it and was told up to 2 weeks. So I asked where it was being shipped from. They told me California. Hmmm... 2 weeks from California to New York? I'm calling my credit card company to cancel this order just because I feel that this is a dishonest was of doing business. I must trust the company that I'm doing business with.

I have been using a Oral B electric toothbrush for many years and have had great checkups. I saw the infomercial for the 30 second smile and thought it sounded like a great idea and although the ordering process was quite confusing compared to most on line purchases, I was eager to receive this and try it out. My first impression was "I can't believe this is not rechargeable", but I broke out the batteries and after pulling out the warranty disclaimer within the battery tube that clearly states that your warranty is void if any moisture is discovered in the battery compartment, my second impression was (and this is after I saw the engineering that doesn't actually close the container and that if you placed it in the holder, all drips from the heads would naturally leak directly into the battery container), wow, what a pile of crap. I decided to try this anyway and found that the on/off switch is not actually a switch but a turn knob at the end of the handle such that you have to use two hands and contort yourself just to turn it on. It's better to start brushing with your hand facing the opposite direction, just to make this PoS more uncomfortable than it already is.. It didn't really feel like my teeth were being brushed and the toothpaste either fell into the sink before you got it in your mouth or you have to force inject it into the brushes, which by the way seems to just stay there and it then requires that you rub your finger in the brushes to get the old toothpaste out. Once you have completed this unpleasant task and set the toothbrush on the side of the sink and not in the holder (for fear of voiding the warranty), the battery lid pops off and threatens to jump into the sink in order to void the warranty for you. All in all, what a insult and I can't believe that we have come to this. I plan to send this back and hope no humidity is encountered while being shipped back.

I bought this toothbrush thinking it would do a better job of brushing my teeth versus a single head brush. Man was I amazed by how clean my teeth felt in seconds. You know after you brush your teeth and you still feel a little something around the base of a tooth? Well, the 30 second smile toothbrush removed every bit of that stuff around every tooth. My teeth feel so much cleaner after brushing. I love this toothbrush and would recommend it to anyone who would like to have that clean feeling on your teeth.

A total RIPOFF. The brushes dont even clean the gumlines that the infomercial catered to. Thirty seconds my ass. It couldnt even give me the tongue over teeth clean feeling the ad emphasized. Wasted 60.00 oh yes the battery lasted one week and a half. A total chinese product that was manufactured for $1.00 and being sold 60x that. Oh they have a beautiful promotional ad that sold me and stole my money. 4.95 for shipping for a replacement brush they dont even want to cancel the auto shipping and auto charging of my credit card. Oh please heed me. Stay away from this company and its product.

After reading all the reviews its just another as seen on tv rip off. Glad I passed on making the call. If it seems to be too good to be true then for sure its junk! Thanks for the honest reviews.

Saw the infomercial the other day and had seen it before. Had not purchased as of yet. Wanted to do some research first. What I found was that the reviews are mixed, that's for sure! In my opinion, when a company says, "for life", then damn it, it should be for life! Period! It's borderline false advertising. It should be up to the customer to call in every four months to order the extra brush heads. Not have thier card charged without them knowing. I guess the "for life" only includes what is shipped with the brush from the get go because the battery dies! Anything after that you have to pay for. But unfortunatly, people are stupid and will buy anything from TV that sounds good to them with second guessing. The sonic care and the oral b stuff means your only buying a name brand name. The money you spend goes to someone elses' "green fees"! The 30second brush should be considered a less superior product and you get what you pay for! Treat it as it was intended and it should work. Get over the fact that it was purchased on TV! Read all the fine print first! sheesh! Not all infomercial products are bad! Im still undecided!

have to recharge about every other day. And don't buy their cheap charger, it's way too expensive as I found out. If not for the battery problem, it did feel kind of like it was cleaning okay.

I see that one reviewer/poster has suggested spending an extra $20-plus for a charger for this product. Are you kidding me?! After spending $60 for the product and $15 for the S&P, why would I want to then go out and spend another more money on a product that should include this very "necessary" piece of equipment, as it is after all "battery powered." Come on now, let's be realistic. Would you buy a car from a lot and then go out and buy a new battery if it failed as soon as you left the lot? My answer is a resounding, "No!" So, why should this company be given special treatment. I haven't even tried the product yet, so that's not what my particular grip is about. Supposedly, my shipment (according to the rep I spoke with this morning) is in route, but seeing as I haven't been sent any proof, I can only assume it has. My money has been taken but I have no idea what's in the order because there's been no confirmation. This lack of quality business practice in and of itself gives me pause enough to believe this product is not even worth the effort, not to mention, since they refuse to communicate, there's no telling what other charges I would potentially incur without my knowledge. I don't trust anyone who cannot keep their word, and this company so far has proven to me their huge culprits of this downfall.
Date Reviewed:10/9/2010Reviewed By:Kaye
My rule-of-thumb is "never, ever buy products pushed on infomercials;" but, hey, it was 4:30 in the morning and for some reason my "intrigue" mechanism went off, so I decided to try this product. My #1 reason for saying there is potential for ripoff with this is company is I DID NOT RECEIVE AN ORDER CONFIRMATION ORDER before the call was completed; and, after all the orders I've placed over the phone and online, this raised a humongous red flag. My #2 reason is you're asked for your e-mail address in order to receive shipping and tracking information. Well, guess what? I noticed the money for the order was taken from my account, but this e-mail seems to be stuck in cyberspace. My #3 reason: The recorded message for ordering indicates that if you make a "one-time" payment for the order, which I did, the order will be sent EXPRESS SHIPPING but towards the end of the recording states "your order will be shipped in 5-10 "business" days. Okay, wait! What mode of transportation are they using, stage coach? I know for a fact it should take no more than "5 days period" for mail to get from California to the East Coast...have shipped plenty! My #4 reason: This is a "battery-powered" device, yet, upon review of their website, no battery charger is included in the order and I've already ready many complaints online where the battery malfunctions within 2-3 weeks. Also, if you check out the website "re-stock" section, there is no battery replacement or charger to order. So what do you do when the battery fails? There's not even an answer to this in the FAQ. Last, but certainly not least, the call to order took almost 30 minutes because they try and "push" you to purchase more products with them, buy some Value Plus membership, and also to order some magazines. I found myself almost yelling at the phone because even after you say "no" the first time to the prompt, it will go back into the same spiel trying to get you to purchase the product. This made me very skeptical because I have a feeling that somewhere in fine print these items will be charged to my account. So, with these thoughts in mind, I am attempting to cancel the order I placed just this morning and from this day forward will stick to my rule of "no infomercial purchases." Good luck.

If you are concerned about the battery cost just buy a hybrid NiMH charger w/ batts kit from your local dept store or online. The Rayov** Recharegable Hybrid Slim Charger with 6AA for $22 on amaz** seems the best type but there are plenty more. I'm an Engineer just looking into buying one and despite the numerous complaints and praises: overall it looks like an excellent idea & product with good upgrades from their older version. Even the lifetime brush heads they send you at 4.95 (for shipping) every ~4 months, seems like a pretty good deal compared to paying for the heads + shipping on amazon. Think I'll order one and will keep you posted

I bought it for my Mother and myself. I talked to my hygenist and two other hygenist first and they all agreed that it was a great product. I find that I brush my teeth more often as a matter of fact. I had no problem with ordering my questions were answered the women I spoke to was very patient and polite. I have had no problem with the batterey I recieved the whitening kit. I was completely satisfied. It's unfortunate that others had such bed experiences, but I would definitely recommend this to any and every one.

Alright, I don't usually write reviews on websites but I felt obligated to put my two cents in on the 30 Second Smile. I watch the infomercial, as im sure many of you had, and it is incredibly hard to find a good toothbrush. I am a bit of a spaz when it comes to oral health and my verdict on the 30 second smile is... DONT BUY IT! I have had mine for a week now and it's just not worth it. It feels cheaply made and the damn battery cover won't stay on and keeps falling off! On top of that, the brush heads don't necessarily reach my gum lines which means that one size DOES NOT fit all. Lastly, the damn thing doesn't even brush that fast, which is understandable because if it went any faster you'd bust a tooth because of the odd design. I think the concept is a good idea with the brushes on all sides... but this toothbrush isn't worth the money. And like a lot of other people have said, they have horrible customer service and the whole operation seems a bit shady. If I may make a suggestion, and take this advice and do what you want with it, but I suggest getting a Sonic Care toothbrush. Yes... they do run a little expensive but it's only $40 more than what I spent on this, and the results are fantastic. Hoped this helped!

1. The brush isn't a one fits all type of tooth brush...that's impossible. So those who have bigger teeth are not going to be hitting along the gumline. 2. I as a hygienist don't encourage people to brush back and forth in a horizontal direction because it can cause recession of the gums and therefore you loose attachment. 3. 2 minutes of brushing is the approved time limit. Even if this brush is doing double the work in half the time, you should at least brush for a minute and not 30 seconds. Not a fan and a little disappointed in trying to offer people a quick fix.

DO NOT buy this product, they add on charges and just keep adding them. Upon purchase, I was led to believe that I was getting 2 toothbrushes for the price of 1. At this time, I am up to $170 and feel that the charges have not stopped. Plus, I just discovered that there will be a monthly charge for the "free" life-time brushes. For the cost of a good toothbrush versus the cost and hassle of dealing with these people - save your money and don't buy this product.

As a dental professional, I have seen many products that claim to perform unusual amazing results. In wild west days they sold "snake oil". Over the years electric brushes were shunned by the dental profession only to be accepted when numerous well controlled studies proved otherwise. Unfortunately this product cannot provide proper hygiene, based on it mechanical action. For the price you would do much better with one of the electric brushes that have been tested with numerous clinical tests and millions of units sold. The price for a high end machine is very reasonable when you consider superior construction,. History of at least 40years of production with consistent upgrades to improve upon the product.

I agree that ordering the brush was a major pain in the butt. They keep on trying to sell you additional stuff. It's really a dis-service to a great product! The people who gave bad reviews of this product never even used it!! They judged it because of their bad experience with the operators. I can totally understand their frustrations. But the proof is in the pudding. The gaps in my gums were increasing on every visit to the dentist. I used this brush a little under 2 weeks and the dental hygienist couldn't believe my gaps improved 2 points!! The brush is great and it does what it says. Before you knock it try it! I normally don't trust infomercial products because I've been suckered once with a steam cleaner. But this product is for real. The only cons I have is the battery cap should have been made so it gripped better. Also the original batteries only lasted a couple of weeks, but I purchased the rechargeable batteries and chargers and they work just fine.

She didn't answer my questions in a straightforward manner and, rather than answer my questions to address my concerns, she kept trying to dodge the questions. The phone call makes me wonder if this is a legitimate product and offer.

It does seem to work, but having to replace batterys will get expensive. I'm not sure I am the only one expericing this, but cap at the bottom to hold the batterys in keeps falling off. It would get really expensive if I have to call a plummer just to retrieve the batterys. I've only had it a couple of days and I'm leaning towards returning it...

The law in the United States does not provide you a remedy for the failure of a supplier to provide under agreements or claims, that are "for life". In other words, a "for life agreement" is the same as suggesting that "we have the best burgers in the world". True or not, the claim is unenforceable as to any remedy if the burger is not the best in the world. The same legal standard applies for a "for life" agreement where a supplier is alleged to supply you for life. It's unenforceable against the supplier. So always be cautious when suppliers/marketers make "for life" promises. It's a clear sign that their motives are crooked. In this instance (toothbrush) the supplier suggests a "life time" supply of brush heads. They (the supplier), are not legally obligated to perform any such promise. They can promise to ship a number of brush heads for a price, and they can be held legally accountable if they do not. But they can not be held legally accountable for making a "for life promise" and not delivering for life.

Tv infomercial claims you get free brush heads for life which is not free it is 4.95 every 4 months. Plus there is always something more to added costs for this supposedly great deal. Why not be honest?? You will get more sales with honesty. Then, I wanted to know all the prices starting from one toothbrush order because I was thinking of purchasing 3 if it was a good deal. The sales lady would not give me any more details until I would confirm I was going to purchase it or not. Who wants to order without knowing the total prices of the whole deal? I don't have money to blow on top of not giving the opportunity to see if I can afford it first. So I cancelled due to it being unaffordable and then she was rude and told me that I would save more in the long run because I would spend just as much on buying replacement toothbrushes at the store, and then the icing of the cake was her rude comment that she did not understand my way of thinking and told me to just have a nice day and hung up on me!!! How rude!!! I cannot believe this is legal and I sure hope you get better customer representives that can tell you what you have to offer INCLUDING the total price without being rude. I was very confused because she was not clear at all. So i called to spead to a manager and was told I would have to call the next day between 9a.m. to 4p.m. because there was no managers available at the time. I have never had such rudeness on calling an informercial. I will never do this again... Please call me back if I cannot get ahold of a customer service person who is in charge. Thank you and i would appreciate your time. Cari

First you have to sit through a long pre-recorded message, then when you can finally press 0 to speak with an operator they are HORRIBLY trained (all of them are! I called back 5 times in frustration!) They try to strong arm you into buying their product but they cannot answer any questions relating to their toothbrush. Their are no trials that prove the 30 second smile is better than sonicare or oral b toothbrushes, and those toothbrushes have plenty of trials to PROVE that they are effective. if you want a toothbrush thats PROVEN effective go with sonicare. dont waste ur money on that scary looking hunk of junk! Also one final note, since its battery powered over the life of your toothbrush youll spend hundreds. The batteries wont last a week.

The 30 second smile works great. It cleans the teeth very well in 30 seconds. It looks funny because it is radically different than a regular toothbrush. It cleans fast because it has 6 heads and it is to thorough because it automatically positions itself on the teeth. Much better than oral b and sonicare.
