Sleep Number Bed is the latest innovation in mattress designs. Sleep Number bed claims to allow you to choose the level of comfort, firmness and support settings in the mattress. The Mattress is specially designed to allow both sides of the bed to have different Sleep Number settings.

We have a queen size sleep number bed that we purchased 5 months ago. It is great because it has a dual-wireless control so my husband can set his side of bed and I can set my side for the firmness that we like. The other feature that is great is the way the mattress foundation goes together. It comes in sections that you put together, which makes it easy to carry upstairs. Our last house was an older house and we always had trouble carrying a queen size mattress foundation up the stairs. It didn't want to fit because the stairwell was not high enough. If we had this bed back then, it would have been easy to take the sections up the stairs and then put them together. After putting the mattress together it looks and feels just like a standard mattress. The mattress and foundation fit into our existing bed frame, but there are optional legs that can be purchased too if you don't have or want a standard bed frame. I also like the fact that I can unzip the top of the mattress and air/fluff it out. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the mattress is so light, it has a tendency to move around when trying to change the bedding. It doesn't move around while sleeping though. The other reason is that the mattress seems to be much lower than a standard mattress so it sits much lower into the bed frame than a standard mattress (But there are more expensive models that have a pillow-top and may sit higher on the foundation). And finally, these beds are pretty pricey, but if you want a customized sleeping experience, then this may just be what you need.
