Knives are dishwasher safe but NOT DISHWASHER FRIENDLY.
The small metal plugs come out of the handles and I have had to dig them out of the dishwasher ( about 6 knives mostly larger ones-- We wash them by hand now.
Also the toll free number (for new orders)is " NO LONGER IN SERVICE" ,I tried that number because there is NO OTHER NUMBER FOR- REPLACEMENTS.( and no "PLEASE DIAL THIS NUMBER"
I guess lifetime warranty means the life time of the infomercials for that day.

Yep, my title says it- Ha Ha Ha, funny Joke! You get what you pay for, or sometimes not even that. The hype about this product is just that- hype. Real life- they aren't that great.

I have had the set of knives or about 3-4 years now and they are not that bad. You have to think about how much you are paying for the amount of knives you are getting. I too got the 2 for 1 and I haven't even opened up the 2nd set. The knives get a whole lot of use and they are still in descent condition. A couple of the handles are loose but for the price and the bulk I can live with that. There are a few really good knives in the set and for the price I don't think you can get burned. You can buy 1 really good chef knife at a store or get 2 huge complete sets with this for the same price. Once the majority of the knives become dull or are falling apart, I can simply open up the 2nd set and have a whole complete brand new set to last me for a lot of years. The showtime knife is awesome and the butcher knife & scissors can get through just about anything. The steak knives are average at best and do dull fairly quickly, but they still do the trick (they by far get the most use at my house).

I bought the 2 for one set, later I bought teh block from a kitchen store. As with any knife you have to shapen them and these are hollow- ground knives so make sure you yse ther proper sharpener. I buy my meat in bulk whole pork loin and whold rib eye. Slicing then is a breaze with the Sis Star knive if you properly sharpen them. Juat a couple pulls thru the sharpner before each use and tehy are great.

Something inside of you should scream "RED FLAG" when you see that for a set of that many pieces of knifes for only $39.99!! I got this set as a gift. The set itself is big and out of place when I put on my counter top. The blade is NOT SHARP at all! Cutting meat is a chore for me, I have to use all my force to cut through a piece of raw beef. Cutting thin slices is even more difficult. Anyhow, please save that $39.99 to buy 1 or 2 good knifes than invest in a load of useless scrapes.

I bought the two for one deal and got a block for both. It cost me $189.64 including the $73.30 shipping charge that was not mentioned on the T.V. commercial I saw. These knifes are cheap! DON'T BUY THEM!!!! It is a total rip off. I called and tried to reason with them but company policy prohibits them from even considering a refund more than $15.00 By the time & expense it takes to return them, I will just throw them away (REALLY)! I will never buy anything Ronco Associated again!

Ronco knives junk junk junk. It's not worth the money. The handles fall or get lose. The blades get rusty all the time even if you hand wash them.. The best part are only the kitchen shears, they will cut. DON'T BUT THEM!!!! It's a waste of money.

Mine have gotten small rust spots on them after being used & washed. Maybe there are small amts of water under the handle, but I'm so careful to handwash & dry on a papertowel. They work great though!
