| - My airbrush was sooooooo loud as soon as i plugged it in
- 3-8 drops absolutely do not cover your face!
- After using 13 drops (refilled twice) on low, for slow circular motions for 10 minutes in one spot, nothing was covering my face, not even the slightest color change, until I brought the air brush literally an inch close to my face.
- The sample bottles are soooooo tiny
- There are a lot of gimmicks they try to suck you in to when you purchase your order, and you better listen very carefully before agreeing with the seller.
- I was charged $25 for s&h from luminess, then a $16 international s&h fee from luminess, then I had to pay an additional $30 cash only to fed-ex as a duty service upon delivery (from Texas USA to Toronto Canada)
- It's a bulky product, especially to travel with
- It's too expensive, not worth it, better of to keep using MAC for me.
- Wondering if the airbrush is broken or what not, but don't want to ask for a new one or send it back for a new one, as I've heard stories that you have to pay for a new one, including its' s& h to return it and get a new one
- Make sure you cancel your monthly membership with them if you return your airbrush, as otherwise they'll keep charging you monthly, and same goes for the "free 2 airline tickets" they throw in with your package with another website, as they'll do the same- f.y.i there is no such thing as free in this world, as reading the vacationsavers.com webiste proves it as it says it free, it's not, as they'll profit it back, as you keep paying them monthly for your membership, and you have to pay for everything except the tickets, and they can change it any time they want and cancel it without refunds.
- I'm going to return mine after the weekend, before it's too late to get some of my money back, as I know I won't get it all back- I just got it three days ago, not worth it to keep trying to practice it- it's just not working, and I need to send it back before time runs out.
- Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed, that the blonde lady demonstrating how to put on the foundation in the beginners info dvd looks the same as she would, using any other foundation, as you can still see her acne spots?- that kind of threw me off, wait, it threw me off after I used it. lol. |

| My husband purchased a Luminess tanning system for me and it was a NIGHTMARE! The machine did not work correctly from the moment I unpacked it. The Stylus never worked. Customer Service is terrible to deal with. They would not refund my "re-stocking fee" of over $30 even though the machine did not work, also charged $20 to ship it to me (which you don't get back) AND they make you pay to ship it back. $60 later, I had nothing except a lot of wasted time. |

| The ads looked convincing and I was sucked into buying the product without doing adequate research. I DID watch the DVD but I feel that they fail to teach the user how to understand the parts of the airbrush system. When I first used it, application was slow and most of the time didn't even come out. So I cleaned up it as per instructions and now they make up comes out too quickly! Not even pulling back the lever on the airbrush pen, the foundation sprays at a pretty high velocity and the 6-ish drops in the tub vanish within about 3 seconds. To "rent" this product for 30 days, isn't simply the 29.99 as advertised on TV.. in the end i ended up spending 80. something CAD for a product that isn't working so well. Granted, I've only used the product once so hopefully future endeavors will prove more successful but the future really doesn't look too bright from here... |

| I fell for it also :( I watched the infomercial and was all starry-eyed. To tell you the truth it does look nice on your skin and it does last a long time compared to other makeup. BUT- It is very hard to get the hang of it. Ive had mine not even a week and it takes like 14 drops to cover my whole face. And the makeup they sent me is wayy too dark so i always look ridiculous. This product would be very good if they let you choose your own 4 shades of foundation instead of 4 skin colour catagories. AND- I bought rushed shipping (3-5 days) It came in 3 weeks. Not impressed at all, poor customer satisfaction and in the end not worth the buy. |

| I purchased the full system (tanning and makeup) for $385. The stylus never worked and I took it apart and put it back together several times and just got fed up. They offered to send me a new one, but after spending that much money I would expect it to work and did not even want to take a chance to have to fight this all over again. I also didn't want to be hit up with extra shipping costs. Beware because when you return you do not get your shipping money back or your $40 trial period money. Customer service is rude and said that I was renting the system and that is why they would not give me my $40 back. How was I renting something that wasn't even working. Waste of money....run away! When you call in you can hear the room full of people chatting to other customers about issues also so that should have been my first clue. |

| I purchased the tanning system and it has been a nightmare. When it WORKED the product was awesome. However, my stylus stopped working. I sent it in (had to pay for my own shipping back to luminess AND $25 fee for a new gun - even though I purchased the 24 month warranty) and recieved a new one back. This one still doesn't work, I'm wondering if they just sent my old stylus back to me? It's ridiculous. I paid $220 cdn for this product, $50 for the new new stylus; which does not work. The superivsor instructed me I have to pay for a new stylus ALL OVER AGAIN... not impressed.

| This company is dishonorable and they do not honor their warrantee. They sent me a defective sun tanning system and I paid over $250. It NEVER worked. By the time we got finished trying to troubleshoot the system (several times) over the phone my 1 month trial period was over and they refused to take the system back. They finally agreed to send me another stylus and it cost me almost $9 to return it. I don't think they sent me a new stylus, because it still did not work. They are now telling me that my warrantee period was one month for a return but that is not true. They told me if I send it back, they would not accept it. Buy a similar product from another company, and be sure you get a written warrantee. |

| You should all try the matte makeup! It is awesome! I am 47 and it provided the coverage I was looking for and lasted all day, and I have very very very Oily skin (have since I was 17) and it did not run at all! The trick to this is matching the right finish with your skin type. The satin finish did not work for me at all and I had the same results as Brittany, but once I was matched up to the right finish of foundation I was floored. Hooked on this for Life! |

| After getting the hang of it, I loved it!. It does require more drops of makeup than the infomercial stated and it does take longer to get satisfying coverage.. well it does me anyway. Its beautiful when you first put it on but then by lunch time it would be runny and blotchy. The slightest amount of liquid would melt it right off your face. The makeup was too expense for no longer than what it lasted. I sold mine on ebay. |

| I received my system this week and have already fallen in love! I bought the Pro system with the tanning add on and it is absolutely the best airbrush tan I have ever had. The color is amazing. No streaks, no odor, and the best part is that it does NOT go orange at all! I have tried just about every uv free tanning system available and this one is by far the best! I am a professional hairstylist and makeup artist and everyone I have used this on has been as happy as I have. The makeup is great too, it offers plenty of coverage (even on skin with a lot of acne). My skin feels so much better, with both the tanning solution and the makeup, and I cannot wait to use it on more of my clients. As far as all of the negative reviews of the makeup, the only thing I can think of as to why it wouldn't work as good for you is user error. You have to follow directions, especially if you haven't used an airbrush before. I give this system 5 stars and I am so glad I gave it a try! |

| I was up late , caught the info commercial & thought just maybe. I am a former makeup artist with a couple of well known companies & the product looked really good. Their ordering dept is all automated ... no real person ... I finally gave up becUSE THEY KEPT ON TRYING TO UP GRADE EVERYTHING & I haung up .I NEVER finished the order BUT they charged over $300 on my credit card . It took me 30 mins to make them credit back my card . If a company is this desperate to make sales this is NOT the product for me ! |

| My cousin bought this system, I personally had never heard of it. She showed it to me and we had a make over party with our family when we were all there one weekend. I thought it was really cool and liked the way it looked on my face so I ordered one for myself. I have had it about 3 months now and have had very few problems. I did not clean out the pen every time I used it and noticed that it was not coming out like it did when I bought it, I called and they explained how to clean it right (put water in the tub and hold your finger over the front of the pen and let it bubble a little, then blow out the dirty water), now I no longer have that problem. I use alcohol and clean out the pen the same way about once a week. I use the blush before I put on the foundation and I find I like that look better for me. The eyeshadow definitely takes practice but I think I am getting it down because i get alot of compliments on my eye makeup. Maybe people are not practicing enough before they try and return it. I don't know, I guess every product doesn't work on every person. I like mine, and so do the other people i know that use it. |

| OK Luminess is a water based makeup, YES! Is it cheap, NO! If you apply it wrong it will stay tacky, look watery that is why they tell move your hand in circular motions all over your face, and to SHAKE the makeup. It separates, it is vitamins and minerals floating in water, so you have to shake it to mix it. It says that everywhere. I love this makeup, and whats its done for my skin. You want to learn how to use it, you should join one of their live interactive webcast lessons. I watched one this morning and plan on joining their next session. They have one every Wednesday at www.luminessworkshop.com...cheap and watery HA! You get what you pay for, and this is worth every penny. It is better than any foundation that I have every tried, the only product that I kinda liked before this was the bare minerals. I guess I light the full coverage, lightweight look and feel of mineral makeups. Oh, and just because your mother is 80 does not make her an expert on makeup. |

| OK, so I have been on vacation for about 4 weeks now and I am really missing my Luminess Air. I bought this Fusion Beauty stuff to tide me over but it just does not cut it. It is heavy and I look dry. I told my husband that he better have gotten enough vacation pictures before I ran out of the good stuff. I thought that I had brought enough, but I should have brought a back up bottle. You see I am a total genius, my makeup bag was inside of my 'checked' bag, and whenever we landed over half of my bottle of foundation had leaked all over my bag. (Every other time I traveled I kept my makeup bag in my carry on, but not this time) Anyways, I am flying home in a week and have already placed an order for a new bottle of foundation on their website, so it should be waiting for me when I get home. I cannot wait to stop wearing this stuf. I love this product. Next time I am traveling I am taking a carry on, and taking extra makeup! |

| Let me tell you that I looooooove this airbrush! True woman of color have been having a hard time for years finding a color that just looks so pretty on their skin. It took me about week of playin with it to get the technique down, but once I got it I flaunt it! Now all my girlfriends come to my house to get their makeup done if they have something to do, and two of them has been saving their pennies to buy one of their own. We love it! |

| I received my luminess air a week ago and at first was not so sure about it.By the second time I used it I was pleased to some degree but now I am very happy with it.I can not say how it would work on acne,my face is clear and minor flaws and honestly I on;y use 6 to 8 drops that is it.
I had trouble with the blush but now I put it on before I put on the foundation and love the look.I have also practiced with the shimmer and bronzer on my eyes.I didn't order eye shadow because I was not sure how you could even put eye shadow on with it,seems impossible to do on your own.But it is not.I bought the pro and turn the setting to low and i can do my eyes pretty easy.
I am a stay at home mom so I don't wear makeup daily but I have started putting a little on each day anyhow just to have that smooth look.My normal makeup routine is foundation and blush only.
The other thing i LOVE about the luminess air is I have the blackberry storm and when I used my phone I would have to wipe the screen because so much makeup would be on it.Since i started using airbrush makeup it does not really get any on my phone.I love that.
Their are alot of negative reviews on the luminess air but I found most of the reviews were about the cost and return of it more so than about the actual product.I bought it on the payment plan with no intention to return it if it did what they said and it has.I have not been charged anything more than what the web site said I would be charged.
Personally I say if you wont to try it and the reviews are making you think twice like the did me,bite the bullet go with your gut and try it.I love mine,wish it was cheaper of course but I do love it and it only takes me a minute or two to put on my blush and foundation.

| I am the Director of Customer Relations for Luminess Air and I have read these reviews and done as much research as I can from the information provided. Our system comes with a standard one year warrany. If the customer pays for the system up front we extend the warranty to 18 months. Even after the warranty period we fix or replace the hardware for extremely reasonalble prices.
Most perplexing were the return issues. We will take the product back no questions asked within the 30-day trial. The trial starts the day the product is delivered. We have N E V E R refused to issue a return autorization within the trial period.
This is the most user friendly product out there but it does take a little practice to get it perfect. It is a new way to put on makeup. Light even layers of the makeup give a flawless finish. I'm a a middle aged (mature) woman with sun damage and nothing has ever covered the dark spots as well as the Luminess system does.

| First of all, it advertises as the makeup that is used by professionals, and after practicing with it for a few weeks I am convienced. I honestly have to say that it did take pratice to learn how to use, and may trips to youtube to watch the training videos, but I am blown away with the results. It is more expensive than buying your makeup at a drug store or wal mart, and if that is what you are looking to spend I would not suggest that you order this as this is a quality and professional product. I have to say to all the other bloggers who are giving this a low rating that they did not give them selves time to learn this product, as it took ME about a week to learn how to use this. This is not the same a using a makeup sponges ladies, or your fingers to apply your makeup. This is an airbrush system, a professional makeup machine!!!! Men have their machines, and professional grade tools, now we have ours! It was worth every penny that I spent, and the time that I spent practiving and playing (and I say playing becuase it was FUN!) I love this product--the way it applies, the way it feels, the way it wears, and how FLAWLESS my skin looks!!!! I do not look dry, I do not look cakey, I do not look "made up". I now have the look of airbrush perfection, of perfect skin! |

| Well let me just say that I am sooooo not happy with this product!! After watching the late night infomercials for weeks, I decided to purchase this product. BIG MISTAKE. I should have done my research first! The product took forever to get to me, even after numerous phone calls and promises of free product!!! When I received it, the airbrush was not working properly and I got so fed up that I tried to return it. Needless to say, after months of phone calls with their customer service, I still have a broken product and out 300 bucks!! There is an upside, which I should have done first. When I Googled Airbrush Makeup I found another company in my research that helped me out with my problem. I know I can’t name them here but they are right above Luminess in Google. Anyway, they fixed my brush for me and also gave me a few samples of their makeup to try out. Needless to say, I am now happy and won’t ever be using Luminess again!! |

| I thought this was going to be the greatest makeup. When I tried to return it I was told of the new Matte finish which was great and they were going to send it to me free of charge. | Luminess air is the most expensive garbage I have ever bought through an infomercial. I bought the professional package with additional matte colors and couldn't even finish my first clients application because it splashes instead of airbrushing. I tried to return it the same week I received it and they said why don't you keep it and keep trying since you have 30 days free; when I made a final decision they told me the had to keep 32 dollars for shipping and the money for the open foundations as well. I got a return confirmation number, which I wrote outside the box, before I sent it back and took a picture of it at the post office and their return department refused to accept the package because according to them it was one day late.
they sell garbage and try to make it impossible for consumers to return it.
This is not a professional airbrush machine and if you want to get it for personal use it's even worse. do not waste your money!

| I grant that not all products work for everyone, or suit their preferences, but I personally have had a wonderful time with my system. I don't know if everyone is bothering to watch the dvd (okay, cause I usually don't either), but I did in this case. A lot of complaints I see seem to be direct results of not following instructions. The dry skin? Yes, me too, until I remembered that the make up is waterbased, so my skin sucked all the water from the make up and left my skin dry. When I remembered to add a moisturizer first, that problem went away. I also forget to hold the stylus far enough away at times. that will cake it on, and leave a greasy area. You have to patiently hold it away from your skin and brush the layers on. I swear I never got so many positive comments on my make up until I started wearing it. My friend got me hooked on it, and I think it helped that she showed me how to use it. I never had to deal with customer service, so I can only hope they improve that, so people aren't turned off by them. |

| I have had my unit for 4 months with no problems. If you have a blemish and use a concealer as shown in their instructional DVD then coverage is not a problem. As fair as the "pump" not being very good which I assume is meant to be the the airbrush stylus, you HAVE to clean it after every use. It is a precision instrument and if you don't take care of it it will not preform. That is status quo for any airbrush no mater what the use. I am sorry for those who have had a negative experience that is a bummer, but this type of makeup is probably not the best choice for their skin. |

| I accept responsibility for not doing my homework and reading the fine print. First of all it takes way more than 3-4 drops and even with 8 there's no coverage. I'm not sure what they are using on the infomerical to cover blemishes (which I don't have", but it doesn't cover anything, Also I wasn't aware that you were automatically enrolled in a club where they send you $60.00 worth the foundation automatically, thank goodness I finally found a phone number and cancelled it after receiving it. I talked to the professional makeup girls at work and thanks to them, we can make this work with different makeup, but I wouldn't buy this again or recommend it to anyone. Customer service is also very rude!!!!!!! |

| I think the compressor is okay, but the warranty is lacking. I wonder what Dinair and Iwata are like. I am beyond irritated that this system is sold on ebay (I think that the company is the one selling it there for a lot less than they sell it for on their infomercial and website.) I think I might have gotten taken. I am not at all impressed with the makeup. It takes way more than four or five drops, and it is thick. Also, my skin is much dryer because of the mineral makeup. I think this system is going back and I am going to try one of the other systems as their reviews are much more favorable. |

| I really really wanted to love this product. I can't. I tried it for the full period of time and am packing it up for return. The pump isn't very good, the coverage...wait- there's coverage?
Also, the return process is lengthy and annoying. Basically, the return paperwork reads as if they are looking for a reason to deny your return.
Bummer. |
