We purchased the juice master quite a while ago but didn't use it so I gave it to my son he tried to use it and the dam thing wouldn't work at all. I tried to tell my husband it was a high priced piece of junk but he didn't listen. I see that Montez is big on advertising for things that rip people off like the high priced loans . I know anything he puts his name on I won't go near. I guess it's the only work he can get because his talk show stunk. He's really stooping low now dats.

Machine motor burned up, customer service says they discontinued this model but never asked for the model number. Was put on hold for the longest time and when I called back this time he said he would transfer me to corporate and I'm still on hold waiting. Even the customer number you call asked if you want to place an order. How can they still ask if you want to place an order for a discontinued item. Nothing but a scam.

I bought this crappy blender/processor on behalf of Montel Williams.. After using the blender for about 3 months it started leaking a dark colored liquid; as well as my juice.. I contacted the company and was informed that I had to purchase another caraffe for about 80 dollars.. They would not honor there own warranty.. The spokes person informed me that the 80 dollars was a bargain!!! I will join anyone in a class action suit..

The health master is a piece of junk, and when it breaks which it will. The life time warranty is a bigger piece of sh*t. I have been waiting for my replacement blender for 5 months. They are still on back log. 5 months everytime i call it should ship within 4- 6 more weeks. Still waiting!!

Good news. I just completed my call regarding my healthmaster. After one year of making smoothies my healthmaster began to leak a dark liquid. When I called their customer service line, today, I was told that they could not replace the jar because the unit has been discontinued, however, I could buy a refurvished one for $74.00 or I could buy a new one for $149.00 which comes with a six year new replacement warranty for the entire unit. Sounds great, however, thanks to these reviews I decided not to trust them again. My thanks to all of you that wrote the reviews.

First of all, everyone should be told that Jack LaLane originally endorsed this product, but only for a short time, because even he admitted it was a piece of crap, and he didn't want his name connected to it, now Montel Williams took over the endorsement, full well knowing this product was junk, he should be charged with fraud and a class action lawsuit against the company that makes them! I never bought one of these units because my mother did, and it was no good, ended up in trash, then I bought her a Vitamaster, which works great!

I am so sad....I made this purchase in good faith....Montel, you have let a lot of people down....not only are you a smooth talker....what you had to back you up is that you are famous...and have money....I have my machine sitting in the bottom of my closet...hoping some day there will be a civil law suit and I would be able to get my money back.....You have betrayed me.

Ditto! Ditto! Ditto! I used to think Montel was the greatest person years ago when I watched his program on TV. Now I wonder how much of that was a farce, because that is just what I have sitting on my kitchen counter now, while I wonder what to do with it. I have all the same problems with it that others have had. Black stuff comes out the bottom. The last time I used it the paint underneath the pitcher, on the base melted and there were slivers of metal. I have the large extra powerful motor. I don't dare use it again. It makes a lot of weird noises. A machinest told me that the bearing is going out and it is going to burn up. I used it only about 15 times.
I feel so ripped off.Why does the BBB allow this product to be sold. As far as I am concerned, this is theft! This crappy piece of junk is going in storage, just in case there is a class action law suit against this manufacturer and it's inventor. Apparently, Montel is not paying attention to business!

I love Montels health master. I hate vegies and cooking so I sneak them in every day with fruit in the health master. Plus it is simple to clean. Add a little ice and water and you have a healthy smoothie. I bought mine used and if anything ever happened to it I would buy another one immediately.

My mother purchased 4 of these. One for herself and 3 more for each of her daughters. My mother replaced her leaking pitcher, my youngest sister's blew up and dosent work at all, mine leaks the ick/rust/slime and is extremely loud, and the 4th one still works well though it may have had a total of 5 or 6 uses. Also.. it is a huge PLASTIC monstrosity requiring a lot of space. If you use it on a regular basis it will leak or blow up or both. Save yourself some money, time, and drama...DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Used this about 20 times....It died! Then you have to pay to ship it and send $30 for them to ship back. NOT! I'll just have to take the loss, because who wants to pay more money to fix something that is junk!!!

I have had this product for a little over a year and spend over 200 dollars. I use it about every two weeks to make smoothies. That's about it and today oil spied out the bottom of the blender. I bought it to save money by making my own smoothie, I guess it would have been cheaper to just keep buying the smoothies. It works out to about 10 dollars a smoothie. This product sucks . Hope montel is enjoying all the wasted money that people have wasted on his crap product. WhAt a rip off. Don't waste your money.

after about 15 uses I have a nasty brown liquid coming out of the container base. Bearing or bushing whatever it is is also loose. brown spray everywhere and signs of metal dust. DONT EVER BUY FROM THE TV AGAIN. Screw you Montel. Your name is no better than dirt.

The motor is powerful enough, but the pitcher being plastic can not take the side thrust of breaking up ice in the blender.
THe blade shaft at the bottom of the picture develops play and it leaks brown rusty looking bactieria water into your drink It also oozes out the bottom while making a drink.
Almost $100.00 with shipping to replace the plastic pitcher.
My last blender from target with a glass picture never leakied even after 15 years of use.

Have no problems with it for a year other then that it does not juice....Well it does if you strain out the pulp...It is so filling on one drink cannot do another one, and also a huge waste for one person.....I bought another juicer at costco an get the right amount of juice for one person. Over priced for what it does......

My healthmaster started leaking oil fom the base, too. Not sure if the oil is getting inside the pitcher,as well. The inside of the pitcher has a strong burnt oil smell. Have stopped using it all together. Extremely disappointed that the ads are still running day and night on TV and that they are still selling this product.

I am very angry at the present time for I purchased online the Healthmaster Elite from the Montel Williams Healthmaster website. I read the terms of agreement. I was advised that I had a right to a full refund if I was unsatisfied with this product or did not want it, so long as I returned the product for a full refund within 60 days from the date I purchased it. I purchased this product on 6/11/12 and returned it via USPS delivery confirmation on 7/31/2012 at 6pm, as clearly stated on the Montel Williams TV program I originally watched and as was informed of the refund policy and also outlined in my purchaser's terms of agreement outlined by TriStar Products, Inc. Therefore, I am well within my rights to expect an immediate refund, which is totaling $100.86. It should be credited back to the credit card of my son, Tyler, who used to make this purchase as a gift for me. The reason I returned this product was after receiving it, I realized that the blender already in my home was just as sufficient as the Healthmaster Elite device and performed 90% of the same functions. And since I had already paid for my other blender, I decided to repackage the Healthmaster Elite in red and contact the TriStar Products, Inc. customer service staff and request how to proceed with properly returning this product. I initially contacted the TriStar Product, Inc. customer service staff during the week of June 20, 2012 to request how to proceed with returning this product. However, instead of a simple return and refund conversation, I was told that a senior customer service staff member would have to contact me at my home at a more convenient time to him/her. I patiently waited for literally one full month, until the second week of July 2012 to contact the TriStar Products, Inc. customer service staff yet again. This time, after being put on hold for more than 10 times and forced to stay on hold for more than 45 minutes prior to a staff person taking my call and another 25 minutes of being forwarded to various customer service staff and eventually to a male supervisor, I finally was provided with an RA number, which is a Return Authorization number. I was also told I would have to pay out of my own pocket to return this device. The TV show that advertised the Healthmaster Elite blender information included Montel Williams emphatically and repeatedly stressing to potential buyers of this product that there was a 60-day, no-hassle return policy, which included free shipping and a free return policy. To date, I am now being denied the right to a full refund of $100.86, and I am being told by TriStar Products, Inc. customer service staff that as of 8/1/2012, my product was accepted as a returned product by their company. However, no refund of $100.86 will be refunded at this time due to the credit card my son used to purchase the Healthmaster Elite not being open and able to accept refund presently. This is entirely not true. And despite the numerous attempts I've made yesterday and again today to resolve this issue with the TriStar Products, Inc. customer service staff and supervisors, I'm being given a new excuse now, that my son will not receive a full and complete refund due to the fact that I returned the Healthmaster Elite well after the 30-day initial trial period expired. This is not true, as once again, this product was purchased with a written agreement (terms of use for the product and purchase) and live on TV with Montel Williams promoting the product, that I had a full 60 days to review this product and return it for a full refund, which again for me would be $100.86. In summation, please advise me as to what immediate course of action I should presently pursue in order to ensure that TriStar Products, Inc. is forced to immediately refund my son in full $100.86 for a product he graciously ordered for me and which I never used, only opened, reviewed, and then within the 60-day limit, returned with insurance on the product and delivery confirmation from the Enola, PA 17025 postal office. If possible, have a member of your legal team contact me for a brief overview of my son's and my present situation with TriStar Products, Inc. and perhaps offer me some much needed legal advice as to what legal actions I must pursue at the present time to immediately remedy this most unfortunate of circumstances. Thank you ever so kindly for your time. Note: Should a member of your legal team attempt to contact me unsuccessfully, please advise him/her to leave a detailed voice mail message, to include the date, time, and specific reason for his/her call. Finally, provide me with specific dates and times which are most suitable for me to return his/her call. I will also require a brief explanation of the specific information I should have at my disposal when I am best able to return his/her call. Thank you ever so kindly once again for your time and attention to this situation at hand.

I had this blender for a year before I got time to take it out of the box and use it. I was excited trying to get healthy thinking I paid over $400 for it with supposedly the more upgraded motor and 3 year extra warranty and I used it once and it did not do as the infomercial showed I had to use the tamper everytime I used it. The ingredients do not blend down and I don't see how this would even work to make soup or ice cream when I didn't even use it over a minute of blending and it overheated and I did as it said and unplugged the unit and reset the button and it worked two more times for me but not any better I had to put the ingredients into my Ninja to finish blending the ingredients to avoid overheating the Healthmaster and it turned off again on my third use and I did again exactly what it said to do and it won't reset now no matter what!! I can't get it to come back on or reset the button won't come down to reset and I didn't even use it but a total of 4 times. To have paid this much and see what the reviews say about the customer service scares me and I see now Montel Williams is a rip off artist!!! I am so pissed off that I got screwed and ripped off for over $400!!! I wished I had seen the reviews before purchasing and I wish I had used it right away and not waited so long to even try it out but looks like it wouldn't have mattered. Do Not buy this unit only buy a Vitamix with a better reputation than these stars that are only out to steal and lie to get money from us common folk!

I got my healthmaster elite on April 19 and after that infomercial was so excited. I made smoothies, nothing my 30.00 blender couldnt make. April 22nd it began to smoke, and I dont mean a little. I called in, I fought, I waited. A week later came a new base. Now the first one to Canada was 200.00 plus 45.00 shipping, plus 57.00 brokerage fees, no one told me that, plus another 11.00 for the second brokerage fee on the replacement. I open the box, the whole front chrome piece is mashed, very poorly packed. Back on the phone, now its a month from the first order. They tell me to prepay the unit back for a refund, I said are you joking, do you realize how mad I am and how I will tell every person in the world what a piece of junk this is.Were sorry sir, thats all we can do. I come unglued. I finally after 30mins, convince them that I will make 2 blenders out of one and they can refund my credit card half, they agreed although to date I have no money yet.I wish I would have read reviews before I bought. Junk is about all I can say. I took it apart to make one blender from 2, you would laugh your guts out if you saw the inside of this, there is nothing there. I have now ordered a blendtec, dont have it yet but cant wait to use a quality item. Montel should be sued and have to make a public TV apology for this criminal activity. You have been warned. Stay away from this garbage, I got screwed. As for the warranty, forget the 6 years, Montel wont be in business with this unit by then but hopefully he has scammed enough people to retire. I used the product a few times. Didn't really have any issues with it but just didn't have time to use it enough. I decided to return the product and was surprised about having to pay the shipping and handling to return the product. But it was okay not a problem. I have been waiting for a refund for almost 15 days. Customer service is very poor. When I call all I get is that my refund is pending. Each time has been a different answer. At first it was supposed to take 5 business days. Then it was the banks fault. Now it should only be a few more days. What? I hate poor customer service and this has been the worst i've seen in a long time.

The motor has a 100 year warranty. You wont have to worry about it. The bearing in the blender pitcher wont last more than a few months. Then they will want $80 to replace it. This is a really BAD product.

I too had a leaky pitcher from the classic health master. I did just call to see if the problem was fixed. They told me they are discontinuing the classic version and that they would send me an elite (the new version) for like $30 with state tax. In my opinion since they are taking notice that this is a problem, they should have sent me the new one for free. At least I got something from them at all though. They told me there have been no issues so far with the elite model. I hope not. Anyone reading this should call in and get the newer version. I had ordered online and they were able to pull up my info quickly.

This is the worst product I have ever bought on TV especially for the high dollar amount. The pitcher started leaking rusty liquid after just a fiew uses. The company said they would send me a new one for $54.95 and that it is very uncommon, they lied. I now see this is how they continue to make more money off their customers. I do not believe Montel Williams anymore he also will put his name on any product just to make a dollar.

After numerous customer service calls the first time and a replaced unit because the motor died, the 2nd one actually had the pitcher leak within 15 uses. Junk, absolute junk and the worst part is he is still advertising this crap all the time on TV and duping these poor people that are looking for something that works. I am going to report this to the BBB and hope against hope that more people will start reading the reviews before purchasing. It should be in consumer reports as a " definitely don't buy!" Not mention the amount of space it takes up on my counter and the runaround I got from customer service

I bought this garbage about a year ago. the fist thing I tried to make was pumkin soup that I had roased first so it would have some roasted flavor.so it was already soft no raw added it to the heathmaster and it stoped working in about 15 sec. the book said wait 30 mins. and reset I had dinner guest comeing!! so I tried to reset it FORGET IT IT NEVER RAN AGIEN so I had to finish it in my kitchen aid food proccsor and warm it on the stove.needles to say I was pissed off called them the next day and got the same BS.every one else did. FYI BOUGHT A NIJA NJ600 1000 WATTS. What a diffrence....

i agree with most of these reviews, this is not a good product. the bearings for the blade on the pitcher are not sealed and leak a nasty bearing oil until they finally break down, or burn out the motor.

I only used Montel's Health Master 3 times and it I wouldn't even turn it on when I tried the 4th time. I still had to strain the pulp when I made juice. It was so loud. Someone asked "Why all the bad reviews?" Why not? What are we supposed to do lie and pretend something worked well when it didn't? My mistake was not checking reviews first. If anyone has to send the unit back, you need to get a RA (Return authorization #) from customer service and write that on the outside of the box.

As a business owner myself, advertising is expensive, but a BAD word is more costly than advertising! Rude customer service, my pitcher leaked only months after owning it, had to buy a new one @ $50, as that was not covered by warranty, (read the tiny print), then the motor went out. Total hrs on this unit was maybe 5, and it fell apart. Don't buy it!!!! Because if you pay the huge money for it, you won't get it back, it will break after 90 days. I wish this product & company was off the market!!!

I am disgusted that Montel Williams has disgraced himself and ruined his reputation by selling this product. What a rip off. So dishonest; is this criminal? People work hard for their money and this is sad that he is willing to steal folks money. When I opened the box and the blender was plastic, I knew it was a rip off. I expected a hefty glass container. I gave it a shot and like many other comments, I have to agree that the juicer I have now, which costs me 30 dollars is a much better piece of equipment. I just hope I don't have all the problems getting my refund that I'm seeing other people had. Shame, shame.

I have used the blender three times to make soup and it's come out pretty good. I just don't know what else you can make besides soup and smoothies. If I would've read all of the negative reviews before my husband sent for it, I would've told him not to buy it. I'm not sure it's worth the money.

After buying the product and it being shipped late, we attempted to make some of the recipes. The soup tasted raw and was awful. We attempted to use it only 3 times over a couple of months and the motor burned up. Now they want to charge me to send me a replacement motor. This is the worst product I have ever seen. I have gotten better results from a dollar store blender for under $20. Save your money and your sanity!

Because it was endorsed by Montel Williams, I thought this would be as great as he said it was. Didn't realize he endorsed false advertising too! In the beginning I did not use the machine much, but after about 10 months, whenever I used it for liquids, from under the jug a thick dark mess would ooze out, smelling like iron. I contacted customer service who told me I would need to pay to send it back to the company to fix it. After I'd already spent TOO much on this, I thought I could live with the mess. WASTE OF MONEY! Don't get suckered. I should have put my money into a Vitamix which has a golden reputation. The customer service number is always busy, can't even leave a message. This company should be investigated for intentional obselescence of their motors and product lines. EVERY says the same exact things about these pieces of crap products. I purchased this based on Montel’s recommendation and credibility. I should not have done that. When I started using it, I loved it. The problem is, if you don’t keep an eye on it, overflow happens very easily. That’s what happened to mine. My soup exploded and ran down the sides and burned out the motor. Who knew? Well, that was the end of my blender. I got 4 months out of it. I had to throw it away.

I sure am glad I decided to first do some homework and spend a little time on the web looking for opinions from actual owners of this thing, before wasting my hard earned money and ending up with a lot of grief I don't have time to deal with! I am very interested in buying a juicer/blender type kitchen appliance and have seen the convincing infomercials for the 'Health Master' on TV for a long time now. It had to be a good thing if Montel Williams was putting his name behind it. He's had a talk show for years before this ad and he always seemed like a nice honest guy. This new machine seemed even better than the competing Jack LaLanne Juicer and the 'Magic Bullet', and they both looked pretty good in their own right. I'll keep looking around on line and see what I can find out about the 'Ninja 1100', 'Vita-Mix', and a few other blenders and juicers. I will see what Consumer Reports has to say too. I do want to say THANK YOU to this site and appreciate all the warnings folks gave on here. You are greatly helping your fellow consumers get the real scoop. I really hate product and service rip offs and stinking dirt bag con artists and am very glad to see so many are people are NOT letting companies like this get away with pushing sub standard shoddy merchandise, and then adding insult to injury by not even honoring their warranty by ripping you off on excessive shipping costs and rude or unreachable customer service. That's truly pathetic behavior and one hell of a way to run a business! The company marketing the now obviously crappy 'Health Master' has ruined it's reputation and is building up a lot of bad karma. I wish the unfortunate buyers my best and do hope they will all get satisfaction in some way too!

I am blown away by the negative reviews of this product. I just love mine. When making a smoothie or margarita (-:, I set it on the ice mode and let the product do the work. I suppose you could stand there with the motor running full blast and it would probably burn out but since it has a mode for that particular function....I use it. No I do not work for the company. I am retired, getting on up in years, and loving every minute of what the rest of my life has to offer.

First of all the only reason that I purchased the machine is because Montle indorsed it. What a mistake. I had to send the leaky pict back three times. The customer service is the worse ever. they made me retrun the entire machine and my base worked fine when they finally returned me the unit six weeks later the motor blew up. they sent a second one, and a third and again the motor sparked and started smoking. The heck with retuning it again I just got raped to the max. How can our consumer affairs folks allow somethin like this to happen. If there's anyone out there doing a class action law S I'M In. And I really looked up to and respected Montel until know. I wouldn't wish this machine on my worst enemy.

I too got it because I trusted Montel. Well, I am glad he got the job! If you baught it TAKE IT BACK! If you get via mail DO NOT OPEN IT! TRUST ME! I had it 1 month. When I use it the smoke coming from the bottom of the motor filled my kitchen! I think they knew it because the reset button is located right on the side. Me and my friend call it old smokie! I've had the Health Master for a little over a month. It can do everything as advertised, but it has alread stopped working. I called Customer Service and they were to send a lable so I could return it and they would replace it with a new one. Two weeks later and no label. Another call to Customer Service. Seems the first person never recorded my call and no lable was sent. This person is going to send a label. Next stop will be my credit card company - complete rip off.

We've had the healthmaster for a year and a half and have gone through 3 pitchers and had to replace the base once. They will replace the pitcher for "free", however, the "shipping" is half the price of the pitcher $25.00!!! A little excessive for shipping don't you think??!! We have been using a cheap Kitchenaid blender now for 3-4 months and not one problem and if there becomes one it will be inexpensive to replace it. Buyer, definately beware of making this purchase.

Glad I read the reviews before buying. I no longer buy products from informercials endoresed by celebrities. I had bought a Jack La Lane juicer and the motor burned out. Bought a Majic Bullet blender which came with a free one and the blades broke off on both of them... They make it look so good on TV. However, when i was watching the informercial on the Health Master I remember Montel blending something really quick and he said "We can run this a little longer if you want but we don't want the motor to burn out" I had an aha moment when I caught that...

Bought it.. After a first run, I realize I had kinda been taken.. Its a glorified blender that gets stuck when you put the wrong stuff in.. Any Blender can mash fruit and give you a fruit smoothy. To mash vegetables and give you a vegtable smoothy is the trick and this blender has not dissapointed us. The guarantee is life time on the motor so what is the problem? We just got it and love love love it. We decided to cancel our order before actually receiving the appliance, after reading these reviews. (Yes, we should have read them BEFORE purchasing.) We called at the very next business day to cancel it, only to be told it had already been shipped (when the automated ordering system said 4-6 weeks). Since it has already apparently been shipped, our only option is to refuse it at the door when it is delivered. According to their customer service, we are still responsible for the S&H ($40). Hopefully this will help others and save them the $40, by them knowing up front the results of a canceled order.

I bought two. One for me and one for my daughter. It didn't work, right out of the box. So we had to return it and the other one came, worked 2-3 times and then broke down. It was past the 30 day return guarantee so too late to return. Getting the first one returned was a customer service nightmare. I thought since Montel was selling it, it would be a good product. Not so. The motor runs hot, very quickly and I have had to stop and let it cool down for 30 minutes. Well, $499.87 later, it was a very expensive lesson and they are crooks for selling defective products.

No good for veggie juice, unless you like drinking a ton of thick pulp. Fruit smoothies are good, by my $30 blender did the same thing. Overrated and over priced and now DEAD after 5 wks and only 10-15 uses. Reset button did not work, motor is dead and being sent back for full refund, do not want replacment. I used the product for a month and a half. The product works great, I made soups, ground fresh coffee, and made a few puddings and sorbet's. Only issue is that after a month and a half, I did get the oil leaking into the base, and possibly some leaks in the pitcher as well. I just got off the phone with support and they are sending me a label to ship this back for a replacement. Yes, it malfunctioned, but they are replacing it at their cost. Guys, please let's use constructive criticism when reviewing. Simply slamming the product is not helpful, and makes you look very primitive.

Please don't waste your money buying this Health Master. I went against my better judgement after reading poor reviews. But I figured if i bought this thing from Kohl's, I can easily take it back. We only had this for 3 days and today, my wife put together a breakfast power drink so I can take to work. Well, after after 10 second this piece of crap just stopped, no power, nothing! I'm packing it up and getting my refund from Kohl's. I've reviewed the VitaMix, it's been around a long time and the reviews are much better, but it's twice the price. It's obvious Montel is doing this for the money and NOT because it's a good product, because it's NOT.

Terrible Machine, since the first day we bought it the rusty water comes from under the motor, I had to clean the kitchen countertop and the motor after each use, I think a $30 blender does a better job than this one, I've had it for a year and it has been a bad investment. I exchange it they sent me a new one and the new one burned in 3 days I was just using it to blend my morning juice. Don't waste your money, you will regret it....

Every time you blend rust water comes from the underside of the blender. With each use the noise gets louder. Overall it is a terrible appliance. When speaking to customer support I was promised a new blender but what I received was a refurbished on that was just as bad.

It worked great for about 75 days, and then just like every one else, it started leaking. Then, a few days later, it smelled like electrical burning. I called and was told it was the motor and they would send another motor for $25 for shipping. i ordered it. Got a postcard in a couple weeks that said these motors were on backorder, didn't know when they would be available. More red flags. Never have received one. This is a scam. We've all been had. I ordered the heathmaster after watching the informercial. After receiving it, I decided not to keep it after reading some reviews (I know I should read them beforehand) of others. For one, I was charged a hundred dollars more than advertised, so when I called, they promised to take $79 off if I would try it out. I kept it a couple of more weeks, sent it back, untouched through UPS (postage I paid), they received it and still did not credit my card two months later until I called. They only credited three fourths of my money because they charge you $40 shipping which floors me. The bottomline, I paid them $61 dollars to take their untouched machine back. There should be a law against Jerk companies like that! I would not recommend Tri-Star to anyone. Still happy I did not keep the machine. If you order and return it, expect to pay shipping they shoud has obsorbed. Imagine how much they are making a $40 a pop for shipping. Most of that CRAP on those commercials do not work anyway. They are a bunch of BANDITS, with money to advertise convensingly.

Love the blender. Hate the service. The blender works just as well as the infomercials. However, my pitcher began leaking at the bottom near the blades less than a month after purchasing it and when I called they said it was going to cost me $25 to replace it! I did nothing to cause their product to malfunction yet I was being charged to fix their problem. Completely unacceptable. I will never purchase from this company again. Because of Montel, I fell for this item. Why would ANYONE put their name behind a piece of junk? Only one answer. They don't care about their name or honor. I used mine 3 times and it started leaking oily fluid. Had the pitcher replaced... at my expense. The new pitcher seemed fine, but now the base is so loud after 2 more uses, I can not use it, unless I don't mind being deaf soon. This is a horrible product and Montel should personally refund everyone's money and recall this product. Go with a vita-mix. This was a huge waste of money and time.

Today was my first time using the machine. After cleaning it, I crushed cookies then used it to mix the cookie crumbs with other ingredients and it blended great! It was better than the food processors I had been using. I was quite pleased until I tried to mix another batch. I followed the instructions...use reset...let is cool down for 30 minutes...started to get frustrated, called an 800 number that I found on line. Customer service person was very nice, walked me through the reset steps again...then said to bring it back (I purchased it at Kohl's) and either get another machine or a refund...after reading this site...I'm going for the refund.

I have two Healthmasters, one standard model and the other overpriced even more Higher HP model that claims to have more power. So with two different units, I couldn’t tell any difference between the so called “Extra Power” to the standard model. Within a few months, the “Deluxe Model”, like many other complaints I’ve seen online, began leaking grease from the motor into the base, then started getting oil/grease into the contents in the pitcher, which also started leaking. The lower cost unit, also proved to be a piece of….junk, also Made in Communist China, and routinely trips the circuit breaker on both the unit itself and the GFCI outlets in the kitchen where it is used. I haven’t tried grinding a concrete block like Montel Williams claims on TV, but I can say apples, carrots, and other hard veggies or fruits don’t do as well. I bought these to lose weight and get greens, fruits, and other so called healthy foods into me that I wouldn’t normally eat. However not only did I gain weight, but some of my health issues got worse following their recipes. I’ll take part of the blame for not sending them back immediately when I opened the “Repacked” box to the inner box and saw in big bold black letters: “MADE IN CHINA”. So at $267 per unit times two, I’m out of over $500 worth in crap I can’t use, made in China for pennies on the dollar. I wonder if we should start a class action suit against Montel Williams? After all, he is here in America where we can get to him in the courts. China, no chance. I think today I'll start calling consumer reporters, Montel Williams show, the Better Business Bureau, and any news agency I can think of about the POS blender. I was among the first people, like many others, that thought this would be a great kitchen appliance when it first came out. Now I'm man enough to admit I was wrong.

I bought a month ago, so far so good. If you put veggies in use the stick and stir around until in grabs then pow! it blends it up. Fruit you dont need. I use every day, being a emulsifier it's best to add 1 coffe cup of ice spring water for juice's. This makes it frothy like a "orange julius" best is mango/bannana/peach. And 2 of each will make 16oz for 3 people!. Set on 8 minutes and does make HOT soup. Easy on celery not to tasty with tomatoes so like 1 half stick.

I really liked the concept of this product & decided to ignore all the negative reviews & buy it. Well, one month later (with very light usage), the plastic timer knob has fallen off. Since the machine won't operate without the timer being on, I have to use a pair of pliers to activate the timer. Terrible! What next? Nice idea, but they got it out there half-baked!

I just recieved my new Health Master. We tried to make potato soup,as per thier recipe. Well it ran for afew seconds and then shut off. After that I took the off and mixed the potato's up some, It then ran for about 2 min. and started smoking then shut down! After letting it cool down some, I tried a third time, with the same results, smoking than shuts off. Now it won't restart at all, what a piece of junk!! I decided to give it another try and purchase it directly from Health Master. Big mistake!!!! I used is twice then poof!!! The motor blew. After watching Montel endorse this unit many times, I decided to purchase one. After receiving my new Healthmaster it failed with less than two minutes run time. Red light came on and would not reset even after setting half an hour. Customer service was friendly and should have a return label on the way. I hope my replacement works better. Looking at all of the reviews, there's probably not much hope. I have owned a Vitamix for over 5 years and it works excellent. I purchased the Healthmaster because I liked the larger container and digital controls with timer and I thought Montel would promote a good product. Montel, I hope you read these reviews! After getting caught up in the whole health kick I too ordered a Health Master, Only to have the same problems as everyone else, a leaking pitcher and then simply would not run. After returning this with a whole lot of expence and expensive phone calls I was finally sent a replacement unit. I have only used this unit ONE time and it is NOW DEAD. Called the customer service line only to get a recording saying call volumes exceeding time wait to call back at a later time NO KIDDING! This machine is a piece of CRAP made in CHINA. Montel Williams should be ashamed to have his name associated with such an extremely inferior product (if you could even call it a product). I will try again to vent my frustration with customer service but in the end will probably just throw this piece of CRAP in the TRASH were it belongs. First off I must say, I am so disapointed in Syliva Brown for backing this mixer. We spent many weeks trying to make our minds up if we wanted to spend the money on this blender. My husband had all his teeth pulled, I had gained wieght after my heart attack and had tried everything even the Dr's didn't understand why. And we have been looking for a powerful blender for a year or so. I made the call and got your blender. The juice we made aka (v-8) was hard to blend and turn runny after sitting a little while. I tried the furit smoothy and it worked a little better. The motor is so loud it scares the cats. Last of all the main reason I would not give it a good rating, I and my friends are all 45-50. I am one of the stronger ones and I had a hard time gitting the pitcher locked on and off the base and the same with the lid. Anyone with weak arms or wrist or arthritis should not use this machine, it can cause more damage. I was wrong to buy something that only caught my eye because of the 2 people trying to sell it. I have to rethink how I feel about Willams and Brown now. I may have lost faith in 2 people I thought were trust worthy.

I am currently looking for a good juicer to buy and came across the health Master . So I decided to read reviews by users who has had few troubles. few things I find amazing is the motor rating is 2HP why will a pitch man claim this ? it must have a 2HP motor so if it does then ofcourse it should do exactly what it suppose to do ..... A hint I think we all make mistake in kitchen time and time again . we make little foolish mistake that causes thing to break , burnt and sometime meal is over cook . Unlike the Health Master it is a mechines that is program and engineer to work in a same ole fashion. so if we human make a mistake with such a high speed rotation this error will cost you 200.00 which relate to some of the reviews I read . Also the engineers who design this mechine too is to be blame for sloppy work . engineer should have put more safty measures in place to prevent self inflicted damages due to forgetfulness by users. The bottom line is I will buy Health Master and used it properly. Why will Motel William put his reputation behind this Machine when in fact it doesn't work a dime ??? In all of the reviews no on mentioned about if the mechine actually emulsify as claimed by pitch man ? I believed it is true it does what it should do and why will someone put in a cheap blade ? The blade really is not the real driving force behind HealthMaster it the motor power, efficiency and speed . even with a faster speed a dull knife can cut an Elephant in to tinny chuck in 2 sec .

After receiving the Health Master as a gift, I was very excited for the first 2 months. The picture started to leak a black oil and then the juice. After speaking with customer service and paying a shipping charge of $25.00 I was sent a new picture. The customer service stated that this was not a on going problem but if it happen again the picture would cost $49.95 plus shipping of 24.95. My sister also had the same problem with hers and again was sent a new picture. After 1 month she is having the problem with it leaking again. It is very plain to see if this is a on going problem then the machine is not worth the trouble to purchase due to all of the additional cost. When the product works it is good. I hope Montel William is aware of the problems due to the fact he has put is endorsement on the product.

The health master started off as what it was advertised as, But after about 4 to 6 months the problems started!!!! It will start to leak from the bottom with a oily black substance and then the juice will start to leak on to the base of the blender! it's a great blender if that problem can be fixed because i know 3 other people who have had the same problem. Over all if i knew this was going to be the problem after only a few months for $250.00, I WOULD OF NEVER BROUGHT THIS PRODUCT!!! Buyers bewars.....

I am very disappointed that after a 3-4 month period my Health Master is spitting out an oily substance as well as my juice leaking from the bottom of jar. I called customer service and the hold time was 86 minutes and then disconnected. A total waste of $200.00, I will now be getting a K-Tec/Vita-Mix for sure!!!!

We thought our new Healthmaster would be a great alternative to juicing (no more wasted fiber/pulp). After about one month of use, it turned off by itself midway through blending a fruit smoothie. That's about all we used it for. The pitcher won't budge from its locked position on the base (although the lid does twist off) and the machine will not turn on (we tried the reset button). We called customer service and were told for about $50 in shipping charges, they would send a new base and pitcher (we purchased the unit in new condition at a raffle and don't have an order #). After reading the return nightmare stories of other users, we're thinking of cutting our loses and moving to the Vitamix instead.

I have had a health master for over a year now, and never had a problem but two days ago I was grinding oats and it just stopped working. The blue light went off and it hasn't gone on since. How do I get my machine fixed so I can continue to be healthy? I am very frustrated, I spent $250.00 for the machine and don't even know who to contact to get it fixed.

Just like most of the products out there on TV infomercials - doesnt even come close to living up to its claims. The product is not high quality, the recipies they show on TV and talk about in their book do not come out as advertised. Overall its something you should stay away from unless you like trying longshots and going through the hassle of sending it back for a refund.

I thought it was a great buy for about four weeks. After that the motor burned out, and that's when the customer service nightmare began. One year later, still no resolution. I've been informed repeatedly that the product is on back order, yet they are still selling advertising and selling this product as if my issue and others with similar issues do not exist. I've lost all respect for Tri-star products and Montel Williams as well for continuing to endorse such products and services that are clearly inferior that no one stand behind. What I've witnessed through my experience is a lack of "INTEGRITY".

I received my Healthmaster. First thing I noticed is that it had a cheaper blade in it than the one they advertise on Television. I only had mine a few months and it burned up. All I ever used in it was fruit. Next thing you know smoke was billowing out of it. It has been several months and I still haven't received my replacement. Buyer beware.

The oil leak is gone, the motor is improved and it's working so well! I'm so very happy with the machine. It's doing everything it said it would. I suggest you all give it a second chance.

I take it all back!!! The blender was awesome but motor blew up on the third use. Smoke poured out. Customer Service acknowleged that it was probably a bad one as this happens. "Maybe 3 or 4 out of 1000". They could not guarantee I would not get another bad one. I am sending back under the 30-day return policy and I already ordered a vita-mix. By the way the reason Montel stopped endorsing vitamix (He owns a least one) is that he felt he should be paid to endorse it. Vitamix has never paid anyone for endorsements. ANyway bottom line you can't beat vitamix. In consumer reports they came up with a 89 the closest was the Hamilton Beach Tempest at $424 dollars. On the vitamix thsy sell reconditoned units for a lot less with same 7 year warranty. The models have new pitchers and motors are checked out. They come from demos and returns. Just click the comparison chart to see the reconditoned units they have in stock. Finally a tip for anyone not being able to get their money back. Put a claim through your credit card company. It takes time but you will get your money back due to the fact that you never got your product. I already put a claim as the company promised me a return label I have not seen yet. I will get back every penny including the shipping and taxes I paid.

No problems. Blends great. Be sure to add little bits of water when stuff starts getting thick as the directions instruct. I can imagine that if I just threw in a bunch of stuff, it would burn any motor out. So do short bursts of blending and add water if too thick to see still moving around and works great for me.

I have to return mine. To me the Health Master is a big glorified blender. I already have one of those. I have been juicing for years and have been using a Breville Juicer. When I saw that the Health Master juiced everything of the greens (that I mix with fruit) I was excited that I would not have any trash (skins and pulp) with this juicer. I have used it 5 times and the first two times I added water (as I saw in the infomercial) which watered down the taste quite a bit and made too much juice where part of it went down the drain because I couldn't drink it all. Then I made soup, which was great the way it heated up. The next two times I mad my juice in the morning, adding very little water hoping to get a better taste, and it turned to sludge. One of those times I left the Health Master on for longer to see if it came out any more of a liquid and of course it started to heat it up. Hot juice=not good! The Health Master messes with the purity of fruits and vegetables by having to water them down and adding ice. If your doing a smoothie thats fine but not for veg. juice. After reading these reviews, I'm not looking forward to the return process but I am returning it anyway. Very disappointing!

I have contacted Healthmaster Customer Service and they admitted right away to a problem where some of the units leak the oil from the motor but of course will not mix with the contents of the healthmaster. They assure me that these units are completely covered, and they will replace the unit without the customer having to pay the shipping costs. They further confirmed that they are looking into the issue to provide a permanent solution. Reading between the lines of the reviews offered, I get the distinct impression that other vendors/sales people are trying to capitalize on this issue. I have purchased a healthmaster and I am expecting to recieve it within the next three days. The customer Service rep I spoke with was very friendly and eager to help, I explained that I already purchased the unit. After reading the numerous reviews, I was almost inclined to cancel my order, except I felt this underlying tone of sales people basically bashing the units and exploiting the issues in order to sell their own. I was a salesman for many years and one thing I never did was "bash" the competetion. I would suggest that anyone looking to purchase the healthmaster take the reviews "with a grain of salt" and know that the company will stand behind the product. The service representative confirmed that if nothng is wrong wth the healthmaster than indeed the customer returns it as his/her own expense. He stated that they had numerous cases where customers called in and learned that because they did not pick up the manual even once, they had trouble. Once customer service walk them through it, the issues "disappeared". I now eagerly await the arrival of the health master. I would also implore anyone that had a unit leaking an "oily substance" to call customer service right away so they can replace the unit as promised at their own expense.

It's on its way back to you UPS delivery today. I found it way too noisy. Not only that - I was so disappointed and disgusted that I had to pay an additional 71.83 customs and duty COD at my door. Add that to the disappointment of having to pay an additional 47.00 to ship it back. This is very poor business in my books! I hope I don't have to wait 6 weeks for my money back!!! I bought my HealthMaster directly from their website in July of 09. The motor died in September. I called and they told me that it was too late for me to return it but since I have the 100 year warranty if I pay for shipping they will send me another base. I said fine and paid I almost $50.00 for the shipping. It is now April 2010 and I still have not received the motor. I have been calling every month to check on the status and they claim it is still on back order. One day I called and the young man I spoke to said it was in stock and they would ship it right away. I waited 3 weeks and called again. They went back to the original story of "sorry, the item in on back order". They never billed my credit card so that's one good thing. I still call every month to let them know I still want my motor but still nothing. Another thing the do that gets me so angry is they send me little cards with the date that they will ship it, then a few weeks later, I get another one saying it's not in stock, then a few weeks later I get another one saying to return the card if I still want to place my order then the last one says DO NOT return the card if I still want them to place my order. These people are ripping costumers off. The 100 year warranty is a joke. I totally wasted my $200.00. :(

I bought this item in December 2009. The motor blew out in January 2010. I have tried for two months to get a return label. First I was told it was being mailed. After over a month and a few more calls, I was told I would receive a return label by email. Have not received one as of 3/16/10. The product is terrible and the customer service is worse. Save yourself some money and buy a regular blender.

My healthmaster stopped working shortly after it arrived. I turned it on, it stopped and started to smoke. I have called customer service four times to request a postage label. The first two times I was told it would be in the mail within 10-15 business days. The next two times they told me that I would be emailed a label within 24 hours. I received no label. Please do not buy this product. The company is scamming people.

Very disappointed, the healthmaster was not user friendly. The speed of the blades were poor. I sounded like it was about to give out. It did not emulsify in my opinion. My major complaint was that it took me about 30 minutes to open and close the pitcher on it due to the locking system. It was very hard to twiist and and untwist, often hurt my hands. I'm still waiting for a refund. The shipping was too expensive and so was the returning. I would not recommend. Sorry Montel.

I looked at some of the recipes that are listed but I don't see where calorie count or fat content is listed. On the Tarts they list butter as ingredient. Also in an Italian Fondue cheese is also fattening. So where are the guidelines to help count calories and fat grams????

I have had this product for months now, bought it sometime last year. I think it's great and does what they said it would do. I don't know why motors burnt up or containers leaked, but I have had no problem with mine, and certainly no rusty looking junk come out of it. I'd never pay the amount for that VitaMix, it's basically the same thing as the healthmaster and I had a freebie Jack L juicer given to me and in my opinion, it was truly junk. You got hardly any juice and the pulp goes to the collector. We need the pulp and who wants to make muffins from the pulp each time you use it? I am using the healthmaster to reverse cancer.

Like the poster coast2coast, spend a few more bucks and get the vitamix. This machine is the same as the Jack La Lanne healthmaster, except that it has a digital display. other sites finally have postings that this machine fails after 2 to 3 days of use, the plastic used in the container healthy to use. It also leaks a wierd rusty looking fluid under the container, my neighbor sent it back, it took 3 weeks to get a replacement, and 3 days later, the motor burnt out. You have to pay for the shipping each time you return it. The machine does do what it is supposed to do, but the motor cannot keep up, it is not fast enough. She returned it and demanded a refund, and still has not received her money back. Buyer beware, and also to TG who rates a 5 star just because of a worthless review, will get a machine that will break down. I have the vitamix 5200 and it is worth every penny

After seeing this one day on TV I decided to do sum research on it and came to a decision to buy the Vita-Mix 5200 instead. Twice the price but worth every penny! The reasons why it is American made from a reputable company Family operated for about 80 years. It has a 7 year warranty. More power. Endorsed by the Culinary Institute of America. Does everything the HealthMaster claims it can do decades before Montel's blender ever reached the market. Can't trust Tri-Star products, the company behind all those as seen on TV infomercials, the company behind the HealthMaster(made in China) blender. Do your research when it comes to your health people! Just an honest opinion... I love Vita-Mixing!
