I bought mine in 2008, after several uses it froze and had problems trying to return it. They offered to send me a refurbished one. It was not even a month old! I lost out big time! My sister just bought one locally for $79, we tested it and after 2 uses it was worse than my issues. luckily she was able to return it. My friend bought hers 2 weeks ago for $69, but I still have not heard from her.

I'm 18 and I use mine all the time. It works great for school projects, cards, etc. I also recommend the Cricut Expression. As was said before, the only drawback is the cost of the cartridges, but they can easily be bought cheaper online. I've used both cardstock and construction paper, and as long as you adjust the pressure, it cuts both with ease, and without tearing. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED!

This review helped me. Still haven't decided to buy one, but if I do, it will be the Cricut Expression. Thanks again.

I love my Cricut! I want to use it all the time. The only drawback is that you have to continuously buy cartridges for it in order to cut different shapes or fonts. I still give it a 5 star rating. Of course if you are a thrifty shopper, you can find the cartridges on line or in many stores for a much lower cost than retail. Sign up with one of the online stores and save a bundle! Me and my grandaughters have a blast with it. I know of no other cutter that you can use to be so simple than the Cricut. If you are in the market for a cutter, I suggest the Cricut Expression, cuts up to 24 inches, as opposed to the Cricut that only cuts up to 6 inches. GOOD JOB PROVO CRAFT!!!!!
