I actually bought mine at a goodwill store. I didn't even really know what I had bought, but it was so cute and looked interesting so, for the price - $5 - I took a chance. I came home and looked up the info on the net. The reviews are awful! I wondered I should even take the chance that I might ruin my very expensive microwave! I decided to stand close and give the grilled veggies a try. I washed the accessories, chopped my veggies, well, just basically did what the instructions said to do. No fire, no melting knobs, nothing but wonderfully roasted veggies in less than 10 minutes! I don't know how it will work on other things or how long it will last, but for now I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

BUYER BEWARE. I received my TastiWave today and read the instruction manual and followed and did everything it said to do. I decided to do the roasted vegetables. Preheated the TastiWave two minutes thirty seconds per instructions. Put in the vegetables and after two minutes the knob caught on fire and destroyed my microwave oven. I have been cooking in a microwave oven for thiry-five years and this is the first anything like this has happened. The fumes were very toxic. I am thankful that I was close by and saw the smoke and flames before more damage was done. No invoice came with the order and I have not been able to find a customer service phone number. If anyone knows it please post it

DO NOT buy this item PLEASE! - advertised as safe for the microwave -HA! The day I got it, after four minutes I smelled burning plastic - my microwave was clouding and steaming, I pulled the unit out and the dome lid knob MELTED RIGHT OFF. I tried it with just the grill press for a steak - the grill press knob MELTED right off...the smell was awful and I am sure I would have had a fire if I kept it in another 30 secs - My microwave is older and no way exceeds 1100 watts. This is an example of an interesting idea, VERY poorly executed, built cheap to make a quick dollar. What good is a product that will only perform in 20% of all micro waves? HUGE waste of nearly 90.00 DONT BUY

I read all the reviews and found a mention of the microhearth. So I googled the microhearth and found the website for the company. They give a listing of the places that sell the product and when I did indeed find it listed in my HS catalog I decided to buy it. I purchased the microhearth grill pan and everyday kit from the manufacturers website. There was even a sale and shipping deal at the time. I received it two days ago and have been cooking up a storm. I've made burgers, chicken breasts, hot dogs, and steamed veggies. The only thing I don't recommend is trying to bake as it steams for baking and that makes for chewy baked goods. It worked in my microwave and my friends and we have two different wattages. Nothing melted and nothing caught on fire. Best of luck and I hope this helps.

I ordered the Tastiwave online, actually wanting to purchase one for the advertised price of only $39.95. The catch is you are only given the option of "buy one get one free" All you pay is separate shipping and handling charges of another $14.95. Total $69.95. Okay, I figured I would by one as a gift. When I clicked on the "Purchase" option, I was told I now qualified to buy a second one for only $29.95 (actually it would be a 3rd one). I declined. Then was offered a cookbook, also declined. They asked for my credit card, which was my first mistake! I supplied the info and was given a order confirmation of (drum roll please) $129.70. The P&H was a whopping $59.80. I called customer no-service and was told there must have been a mistake, call back tomorrow and they would correct it (although it might be shipped in the morning so I wouldn't be able to do anything about. NO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! I decided to call my credit card company and cancel my card. The first right move on my part.

I ordered this product for $39.95 plus shipping. When I got my bill I was charged $109.85. They claimed I ordered the deluxe which I was not aware of. To make matters worse it does not work with my micro wave. I tried cooking it twice as long and the food still wasn't done. Ended up taking it out and using the electric grill. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT. I would hate to have anyone else screwed like I was.

There was a lot of false advertising and the product doesn't even work. I was not told in the informercial that your microwave has to be 1100 or more. My over is 950 and will not cook the food. Wish I had checked these reviews before buying. I was charged $109 for something I thought would be around $50 with shipping. Please tell all your friends that is product of not any good. Wish someone had told me before I got screwed.

I am not an employee. I am actually a MSgt in the Air Force stationed in Germany. I never read the reviews before I purchased this product. I purchased the product because I bought the Magic bullet through an info commercial in 2006 and love that product. I now love the Tasti wave. I am sure people who have had issues didn't read the warning label. You have to make sure your microwave can support the wattage. To strong of a microwave will melt product. So read the directions and make sure your microwave is compatible. I first tried the pork chops with apple. So juicy and tasty. I just wish now that I had bought the cook book. Shipping overseas was very timely too!!

I ordered it because for the most part, I have only used the microwave for frozen dinners, reheating and melting chocolate etc. I have only used the Tastiwave twice, but it made great salmon and a frittata. The only question I have is the instructions say to NEVER preheat the grill press, but one of the recipes included with it says to preheat the grill press.

Three interesting sentences buried in their online manual: 1. Your microwave must have a revolving turntable and the interior must measure 14 x 14 x 7 3/4. They don't tell you the size anywhere in the commercial or on the website other than in the PDF manual. Mine is 12" deep. 2. NEVER use the TastiWave Cooking system with a microwave oven that has a power rating exceeding 1300W. This line only appears once in the manual, and everywhere else it says the instructions are for 1100W and you should "adjust accordingly". My microwave is 1460W. The section "A Word About Wattage" says "The higher the wattage the hotter the cooking environment". Duh. They don't repeat the 1300W warning in that section. I guess their lawyer said they only needed to print it once. OK HERE's THE WORST ONE: 3. During the cooking process the base unit can reach temperatures in excess of several hundred degrees F. Seriously? "Several" hundred degrees ? As hot as a pizza oven ? Is your microwave built to take that kind of heat? I'm so glad I read the manual before I bought this dangerous fire hazard. If yours catches fire, I urge you to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov, click on Contact Us.

Just another product that uses fancy language to make you think it is legitimate...."Cyrotech" heating unit....give me a break. This thing is a joke. The handle melted in the microwave the first time my wife and I had used it. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you want a good tasting steak, burger, piece of fish, you will have to grill or cook it on/in the stove/oven. I'm sure it can cook some things half-way decent, maybe a quesdilla or something like that, but a full fledged dinner...no way. Buyer beware....and good luck trying to get a hold of customer service when you want to return it..,..you are forced to deal with teleprompters. If the product has done a good job for you, then great, but if not, I feel your pain.

The Tastiwave works really well for me. I was scared when I read all the negative reviews on here after I ordered it, so I honestly had no idea what to expect when it arrived.... I was kind of dreading it, actually. So, when it finally got here (very slow shipping is the only negative thing I have to say about the whole deal) I opened the box, and cleaned it (as the instructions tell you to do) and started to prepare the Chicken Fajitas recipe in the "quick start guide" or whatever. No hellfire, brimstone, or lava erupted from my microwave when I used it and nothing was damaged in the process. It worked to near perfection and I ended up with some really tasty chicken fajitas... all in about 10 minutes. I assure you, I'm no shill, I am not receiving any monetary compensation by giving this thing a positive review, and I have no idea who "Chef Tony" is other than the fact that he's dude on the cover of the instruction manual. The product honestly worked very well for me and I'm very, very pleased with it. So, in closing, if all the negative reviews scare you, I don't know what to say other than I guess you'll just have to take a chance on it like I did and try it for yourself, hands on. I've never been one to trust reviews... positive OR negative... until I try it for myself first. I too was wary of all the negative reviews but ended up being very pleasantly surprised... and this is coming from a guy who rarely ever orders these "as seen on tv" things due to being ripped off in the past... so I wasn't exactly impartial in the first place. Follow the instructions in the manual and everything should be fine.

i just watched the informercial on tv and decided to look up reviews. one thing i noticed in this rediculous commercial is a dead giveaway that the tastiwave is a phony product. if you watch it from the beginning he talks about the steaks he made from frozen with the grill press lid. if you look when he takes the lid off after the steak are done cooking the steaks grill marks are pointed in different directions. if the steaks were actually cooked in the tastiwave completely untouched until that very moment than the grill marks on both the steaks would be in the exact same direction and the fact that they are not shows that they were cooked on a grill top and placed into the garbage contraption they are trying to trick people into buying

Ihave used it several times andI am happy to say NO fire, NO melt downs and the food likburger, shrimp, even chicken wit bon in it came out sizzling hot. It works in my microwave. I have some real concern if the non-stick element at the bottom of the grill pan and griddle pan will last since I use it so frequently...with it wear off! But apart from that righnow it works for me.

The people that represent this company have been wonderful with customer service. However, we did order the cookware after seeing the TV commercial. The concept of the product is good for healthy cooking and environment friendly if it will work with your microwave. We have a GE 1100 watt microwave and carefully read all the literature. After using the cookware ONE time it melted the turntable stem to the motor on the microwave. We have contacted the company for a full refund of the cookware and hope they will pay for the repair of the microwave. Per their advice we will send a letter with pictures of the melted pieces and the costs to repair the microwave.

Got a manager on the phone as I was not happy and agreed to get two more shipped as "We have never had this problem reported before" So since I had the "Bad" one I Told the guy (manager yeah right) I was going to open the second one and he said "No! please send it back" after he told me they have never had this problem before????? ..ok "BS" At that point I said take them all back. The third time, today, I used reduced power and after one minute of preheating flames started shooting out from the base unit again with huge clouds of acrid white smoke. There is also a blister now on the side and bottom of the base unit. I am using a Magnasonic microwave oven with turntable, rated at 1500 Watt power consumption and 1000 Watt microwave output. Not only does it basically heat a stone to provide an even heat, the actual infomercial has so many inconsistencies such as: - fresh lemon/sprigs of thyme underneath the grill press - the lines on the meat/veg is not parallel, so would assume it was cooked elsewhere. And... to top it off, its £59.95, what a complete rip-off! What the product is telling you is that you can convert your microwave into an oven and cook stuff in under 10 minutes, you can do exactly the same cooking with a griddle pan or oven, and save yourself the money. What an insane joke

You can tell that the food were not cooked inside the Tastiwave, look at the grill marks on the vege, how can the Tastiwave made those grill marks ??

I was going to order 3 of these as Christmas Gifts. After reading the reviews here I don't think I would receive them in time for Christmas. Looks like a great product on TV but I to will wait until I can buy at a local store.

It only seems to brown in the middle of the pot. The eliment is too small. The grilling marks are almost non existant. I used a 1200 watt large micro wave with a turn table. Good luck sending this back.....

I have just seen the tastiwave infomercial on U.K. television - was quite impressed but thought it was a little pricey for what you get. However, took a look at the reviews and saw so many negative ones that I have decided to wait until this cookware is on sale in the big stores - after all if it is that good they will be in the shops very soon and perhaps a lot cheaper!!

I too was about to order this product off the internet, but when I saw the $15.00 shipping charge (nearly half the cost of the item), I became skeptical and looked for a Review site. Fortunately, I found this one and decided it was too risky to order and have all the hassle of backorders, etc. Thanks to all of you who gave a true representation of this product and services. I would still like to try it, but not for the stress it obviously causes.

Only took 1 week to get the product, but it will be several weeks before I can try it. Had it sent to my Mom's who has a smaller microwave. Needs a 14" x 14" x 7 3/4" minimum. I'll have to wait will I can take it home. Wish they mentioned that in bigger print up front rather than having to sort through the instructions.

Why is the product £59 in the Uk which is the equivalent to $100 plus post and packaging!! Product sounds too good to be true!!!

I ordered this product 3 weeks ago and have had the product for about 2. Only problem when I ordered via phone on auto attendant, I ordered one but was sent two. I called and the lady told me I could send one back or she would deduct $15.00 for the second one. I decided to do that and give one as a Christmas gift. Love the Tastiwave food. It is great.

I read the reviews and followed the suggestion of one writer who said that he ordered his online. I ordered online and seriously got the product in about a week. I had no hassles with additional billing. I did a nice egg fitata,(perfect) browned crab cake (did not come out dry or rubbery), I also cooked some susages and they came out fine. Not so much with the grill marks, but it actually does brown. Special note, it comes with a lot of warnings.

On TV the information was incorrect, they did not provide measurements of the product that they are selling, the tastiwave. The order was placed on 8/7/10. Once the order was placed the confirmation number was provided with cooking instructions which stated measurements of the tastiwave product. When I measured my microwave after the order was placed, the product did not fit my microwave. In a lapse of 20 min i called the company to cancel but always got an automated machine and that system kept on ordering again everytime I called to speak with someone. I called the next business day to cancel the order, I was told it was not in their system yet, I spoke to edward, he would cancel order that I with the order number i provided. I called my credit card provider same day of the order on and 8/7/10 told them not to process the payment if it should show up. Again i called today 8/12/10 to reconfirm and my crd card co cancelled their pending charge. I called again tastiware with the number we finally got after researching the co online, spoke to several people, pete: he cancelled order with return authorization. He told me the items were shiped. I told him to intervene i already cancelled. I even called ALLSTAR their merchandising co, ms taylor, very, rude,( alot to desire from customer service rep), they hung up, they would not listen and honor my cancellation that was previously done on 8/7. They told me that if i dont pay for the merchandise, they would send me to collections. I have not received the items, if it arrives it will be refused. If they charge me again, it will be fraudlent activity.... I did not authorize another charge. This will be also reported to the better business bureau for sure. Imagine, calling a company and their customer service and supervisor just hang up on your calls!!! THAT is horrible customer service. I work in hospitality industry...this would not be tolerated if guests would be treated this way. This company will get my reviews posted in the better business bureau for sure if they charge for an item that was canceled prior to shipment.

Thanks to all the reviews, I will wait until this product is on sale in Walmart. It will be cheaper and no delivery hassle or charges. If everyone has been willing to wait this long, it probably will be worth waiting for it to appear at Walmart. I have ordered several items via the internet after watching infomercials only to see them at Walmart for less money. The wait is on.....

Here's an idea. Wait until Bed, Bath, and Beyond starts to carry it. You won't have shipping charges and you get your product right when you pay for it. Judging by all the problems with shipping, I will just continue to use conventional methods. Not sure I want to spend money on something I probably will never get.

June 5, 2010...I watched the infocommercial on TV and decided to order. I phoned and did not get a live person. I went on the website and find I could order for $10.00 less than by phoning. Then I read the reviews and changed my mind. I was afraid to order because those who had ordered waited months receiving nothing. Only one review received their order. If I could rate this less than 1 star, I would.

I ordered the Tastiwave Deluxe by phone after seeing the infomercial in Sept 09. Periodically I'd get a postcard saying the product was on backorder due to the huge demand and to just be patient. In mid-April 2010 I received a call saying the product would be shipped the first week in May. On May 14 I received a generic letter saying they were sorry, but they had no product to send so they weren't filling my order. I waited 9 months for absolutely nothing! Terrible service and I guess I should have known since I never saw another infomercial for it again after September--I even had my TIVO set to autorecord and zilch.
