These B*#$ards are Sharp*****

When I first used them I was impressed at how sharp they are. I've paid over $50.00 for an alleged sharp, good knife. Those were not sharp. I have to really be careful when I use these. I've cut myself when a steak knive lightly grazed my finger. f you're a little clumsy or have poor depth perception wear chain maile gloves.

Awesome Knives*****

I've had my Miracle Blade knives for seven years, they still cut through pretty much anything. The scissors are the only piece that I've truly been unhappy with; they've become my 'crap scissors.' But, my knives still work great. I was very rough with them when I first bought them, too. I was a young newlywed and didn't have a can opener for a while, so I used the steak knives to cut open my cans. The worst that ever happened was that I broke the very tip off of one knife. The fillet knife isn't my favorite, but mine cuts quite well. I'm not much of a fish person, so I actually use mine more for cutting fruits with rinds (like cantelope) and it works great. I'm glad that the new sets have the ball at the top of the chop'n'scoop knife. I love that knife, but if you're using it for a while it can really start to dig into your finger or thumb. Yes, these can rust. I typically wash them by hand, but I have definitely put them in the dishwasher many times. Mine have gotten some rust, but not very much. I think the rust has come from letting them soak in water for a few days (by accident) and not from using the dishwasher or washing them by hand. The only thing that has ever really bothered me was that my set did not come with a knife block & since they are sharp, storing them has been a little bit difficult. I love my Miracle Blade knives! I really have used them for lots of things outside of the kitchen and have really taken them through the ringer and seven years later I'm not even contemplating replacing them. I think it will be a long time still before I'll need to. Whenever that time comes, though, I'll be buying another set of Miracle Blades - with a block.

Good set of cutlery *****

Overall, the quality of the knives is acceptable. Out of the box, they are nice and sharp, however they dull rather quickly but are still usable for on the table use (steaks, etc). The fillet blade is totally useless, it can barely cut anything. And yes, they do rust. Our set started showing rust after about a month of use and washing in the dishwasher. The handles are awkwardly shaped but its not too big of a problem. The construction feels rather cheap, since the blade is so thing and the handle is textured plastic - I havent had one break yet even now a year later after purchase. We got the set at Fred Meyer for about $30, for that price, and the number of knives you get, you cant really complain about them. Great for households with tight budgets.
